It would be considered a bigger crime to wear this than to be caught with your hands down the cookie jar. Even a 40 seconds advantage in every km through aerodynamics wouldn't justify wearing this silly thing.

This could eventually turn out to be the sport's greatest threat if we aren't careful. It's already known to have caused the credit crunch and is likely the be the reason why american pop-punk is a music genre that is actually being listened to.

Besides, once the visor is down you become a perfectly aerodynamic torpedo on two wheels. Of course with the lack of airflow into the helmet you probably shouldn't wear it for any TT over about 2k.

Larsson opened strong, 7th at 1st chrono, +16 behind Martin. Then Larsson managed to crash on a straight road holdning 50 kph! According to Larsson's mechanic he lost about 30s in the crash. Banged up he continued and came 16th, +3.55.72. Without the crash I'm confident he would have been top 10, which would have been a good result for Larsson considering his build up for the olympics has been far from optimal.
