Certainly strong riders but hard to see any of those four as GC contenders at high-level week-long races in the near term, let alone at a Grand Tour. I agree the one-day squad seems well stocked. Arensman is the one GC candidate I see from the young riders pile - unless Egan can make a full recovery. I'm a Pidcock fan, but he seems to have other priorities. Fine if the squad is ok not fighting for the podium in stage races, but that seems unlikely.

Re: Lamperti to QS - if it comes to fruition, clear sign that they are letting some of their existing sprinters go. Jakobsen, Vernon and Ballerini (if we can even consider him as a sprinter anymore) are all in the final year of their contract, leaving only Merlier. With the team's focus switching more to GCs, it would not surprise me to see Jakobsen go without a new big-name sprinter being signed, and then the other sprinters should be either Vernon + Lamperti or another new signing + Lamperti as I cannot imagine Lamperti will be the only non-Merlier sprinter on the team.
Not to long ago I was claimed to be UAE or have some insider there also and forum member got all aggressive to a point with me cause a few things I posted (without naming a source or article) were correct. Ie: Yates to UAE being one of them. Doesn't seem sometimes sharing is a good thing.

Well, just accept that people might not believe you 100% if you don't include sources.
Who knows? In a few years Bisiaux might go to the FDJ WorldTeam, and one of the FDJ conti guys might go to the Ag2R WorldTeam.

AG2R starts a conti team for 2024 they collaborated with Chambéry CF for 22 years but that team disappears.

I think in the end it was maybe still the best option for both parties. Jumbo needs a young Dutch star, Olav needs a good team (not one of the French teams who were rumoured to be interested). And of course he'll ride a GT next year, he's more than ready and if they still won't take him it would be ridiculous.

Jakobsen was also rumoured to go there. Personally if I had the choice I would pick Kooij, but maybe they chose otherwise.
I‘ll think (and there were already some News About it in some online newsmagazines) Bora will throw the Money at Jakobsen.
Ineos could be paring back budgetwise. I know the pot of money seems unlimited but in reality it's not a Gulf State sovereign wealth fund. I also don't know what their GC future program looks like -- Carapaz didn't last; Arensmann seems very, very good, but still unproven; Tao is yet to repeat his Giro performance (injury, yes but still...), Thomas is aging, Bernal injured, Pidcock not committed to GC yet...so where do they look? I was certain C-Rod was their guy but he's likely to MS as noted...just goes to show how hard it is to land and keep a real GC threat.

Hopefully he is able to continue CX like he said he wanted to after winning the junior worlds.
EF is in a really good place for 2024 with Carapaz, Powless and Healy all staying!
Healy was possibly the hottest prospect on the transfer market, and yet EF were able to keep him and they've just recently added Carapaz as well. It seems they've had a decent budget rise in recent times.

I don't think it's at all certain that Kooij rides a GT for the rest of his contract with Jumbo but then if he doesn't ride one until 2026 with a new team he'd still be just 25 years old. I don't see it as a big deal. The only GT that really matters for sprinters is the Tour anyway. More important that he gets opportunities in the big 1-day races which I assume he will.

It says in the press release that he'll ride a GT next year. I'm guessing the Giro. Roglic will want to do the Tour again, as will Vingegaard, leaving freedom to go for stage wins in the Giro.
