The Saudis may want to stop sponsoring the sport. Jayco probably won't be able to cough up 2 million euros to Schmid, I would think.

I doubt there are 8-10 teams that would be a better fit for him. Schmid always races for himself. He doesn't do any domestique work, which would render him useless to most teams. Q36.5 is perfect for him as the team doesn't have any major GC contenders or top sprinters. In Grand Tour races, he can do whatever he wants and go for the breakaway whenever he likes.

I'm not sure what your point is. If you think there are ten teams that would be a better fit for Schmid, then please list them. I'll then carefully explain why they aren't good options.

All you did in your initial post was to criticise Schmid. I guess he must be doing OK if team/s are willing to pay him 2 million euro's per year.

Cat Ferguson is like, right there.

Tim believes Romeo's carrying both her and the team.

Tom Crabbe has apparently chosen Q36.5 over Tudor, Alpecin-Premier Tech and Soudal Quick-Step

Does Gall’s contract expire this year? And where do you think Landa will go?

Looks like Politt will probably extend with UAE.

Any news about Tim Torn Teutenberg?

I can’t really see the fit there. Mostly a breakaway artist but doesn’t win much, no great record of strong domestique work and doesn’t scream future major talent.
He's got a big engine and will be mostly on domestique duties. Think Baroncini at last year's Giro, but with the ability to stay healthy for more than 6 months.

and even in breakaways he lacks weapons so would do well to either help a killer or use the threat to fuga the fuga

his rides in amstel this year and tota last year were superb , but with all his strength it still rarely pays off on his own

Daniel Benson:

The belief in the paddock here at the Giro d'Italia is that Roglič is likely to retire at the end of the season,

with a sensible theory going around that he'll bow out at the European Championships in Slovenia.

Daniel Benson:

Colombian sprinter Juan Sebastián Molano is in line to join Lotto Intermarché.

The team has been actively seeking a fast finisher following the departure of Arnaud de Lie to Tudor Pro Cycling, and Molano has emerged as a top transfer.
