Solid rider actually. Fits in well there. Either as an helper for Ciccone at the Giro d'Italia & Vuelta a Espana or as a stage hunter himself.

Not the best climber in the world. But honestly Tolhoek looks better right now than Elissonde for example. Should be a valuable signing

Yes, Ineos will have guaranteed Viviani track time to prepare for the Olympics, but at the same time, Viviani will want a guaranteed GT each year.
No way they are going to bring him to a GT, he'll ride only small races so he can rack up a decent number of wins even without a proper leadout in exchange of the freedom to ride on the track whenever he wants.

Already the first time he signed with them was "facilitated" by Pinarello (italian track team ride on Pinarello).
Ganna i don't think, if he could ask for someone he'll likely ask for his sister's husband.

Elia Viviani is set to ride for Ineos Grenadiers in 2022 after a late offer from the British team and a request from fellow Italian track rider Filippo Ganna derailed what seemed like a done deal with Astana.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, 32-year-old Viviani will sign a three-year deal with Ineos Grenadiers which will ensure he will ride alongside Ganna until the 2024 Tokyo Olympic Games.
