8th at the Danish road championship 2024. I don't mind surprises, and if you take the result as such, I don't mind Pedersen being beaten by younger riders. It's just that I want to see the champion's jersey on the World Tour, and that's not going to happen now. :-/

He rode like a fool. Like in Flanders.

There was zero reason to begin attacking when he did (30 kilometres from home).

It is commendable that he wants to ride aggressively in general but the terrain was not there for that and his chances to win the race certainly didn't increase by it.

Seems the plan has changed. Pretty sure the original plan at the beginning of the year was a Tour + Vuelta combo, but he just appeared in a live-show on Danish TV, declaring the Vuelta "No-go". This, of course, means that he'll be able to defend his title in the PNDKR! Sure, he'll have to guest-ride for the conti-team.

Of course, he also chose to appear on TV in a shirt like this:

Because, you know, it's Mads Pedersen we're talking about.

I can't wait to listen to LIVERGY's new single Lidl Short Sleeve Shirt.

I'm going to sing that every time I hear Little Red Corvette from now on.

There has been news.
As mentioned above, he appeared in a daily evening programme on Danish TV towards the end of the Tour; he's doing well, back on the road, optimistic for the Olympics.
Great news. Like him and his warrior attitude. Also help he is strong af.

What do you expect from him in the OL? Medal within reach for sure? Though the competition is strong with Bettiol, Remco, Van der Poel, Wva and others but anything else is he would be disappointed im sure?

Thats the logic and mentality he should have. He is not my fav to win it but he is indeed for me in that upper echelon for sure and should have that mentality going in indeed.

Do you think the DNF in the Tour can help him? `I guess it depends on the wounds and severity of it.

It's fine to have that mentality, it's just a little annoying that it also makes all Danish cycling personas on social media taking it for granted that he will of course always win Flanders, Roubaix, Worlds, Olympics, and what have you. As if he has Pogacar like status...

Well, it's a bit neither here nor there. Considering that he had a fracture on the scapula, it would for sure be necessary to have a short rest, so in that sense you could say that it would help him. But if he hadn't had the crash, it would definitely have been better to ride the whole race, also with the Olympics in mind.

Agree didn't know the scapula part. Hehe I get you but put yourself in his shoe he kind of has to have that mentality imo afterall he is that good and have no choice kind of.

I get that part from the personas that could be annoying over time if they legit expect he will win and not be happy with top 3 performance in that company.
