But he's literally ranked 2nd in the UCI rankings by some margin too and Vingo isnt going score much more this year, surely it's not debatable at the moment ?
He proved in this high pressure circumstance he was unbeatable. I give credit to Matteo for trying but no way he was going to be denied.
Pogacar has accomplished a great season so far but he would not have handled Remco today unless the whole pack cooperated, IMO.

7/8! Only the European road race is still missing. To think he did all this before turning twenty-five...
Where he was 2nd already. Except for the silver medal of the EC TT, he has also all medal colors in NC, EC and WC TT's. He is such a championships beast! Is there actually anyone who comes close after basically 4 full years of being pro?
 
One has to wonder who still thinks otherwise. Last time i set foot in the "big6" topic though, plenty of lost souls still did.
I dno, its not really a discussion IMO. MVDP and Jonas are highly specialized and are insanely good at what they do, and would definitely in some years or eras considered as the best riders, but you can't argue with that Remco just did and has done the last 2 years
