Thomas Rohregger gets his income paid by "Tirol Marketing" instead of his team??

Just read this for the first time. It´s in German, and says that Rohregger only got his spot at Leopard, now RSNT, due to the fact that his salary is paid by the local marketing company of his native Tirol (in Austria), 75.000 EUR a year.

He is the only WT rider from Tirol, and Tirol gets marketed as "cyclist paradise".

This story about Thomas Rohregger was discussed in Austria for a few days.
"Tirol Werbung" denied, that this rumors about paying Thomas' salary are true.
The only thing the sponsored was a training camp of the Leopard Trek non-Tour-team right after the Tour of Austria in 2011. The team spent about a week in a 4* Hotel in Kitzbühel.
