After his win on Saturday, he mentioned having a rest; then Andorra World Cup next week was rumoured. He's also meant to be doing the 2 north America races, end of September/early October - plus the Paris test event.

Always enjoy watching Pidcock in MTB, but that's pretty disappointing for his road season. Probably nothing after parading around the Tour of Britain?

He's not World Champion on the road, so has no need to show the jersey off.....Tour of Britain is probably unfinished business after last year.
And he races this weekend, starting tonight in the XCC, followed by the XCO on Sunday.

recovered from infected saddle sore, olympic test event today, and then canada and usa world cups the following two weekends, fits nicely into his other commitments in the usa, like last year.

probably indicates a similar cyclo-cross start and season to last year, maybe a little later as doesn't have the rainbows to show off. I think he'll do the worlds this year, although tabor isn't great for him? might be his last opportunity. + he already won strade this year so doesn't need to be in top form early march.

came back from two punctures to a 5th place in Snowshoe last night. Should probably win in Mont-Saint-Anne next week with no issues.

It was strange that he had 2 front flats. Maybe he wasn't using a Protection tire up front and was using a lighter casing instead.

He got the tyre choice and pressures right today in Mont Sainte Anne. Seriously impressive bike skills for a roadie on the toughest XCO course in recent memory.

Of all the courses Namur is the one where he is most suited to.
But most likely a little too early to be on top form coming one day after his debut at Herentals.

“The intention is for Tom to participate in both mountain biking and road racing in Paris," Pidcock's coach Kurt Bogaerts told Het Nieuwsblad. “His ambition is Olympic gold again. The road ride is a little more complicated, but it's a good thing that the mountain biking is already over. The explosiveness of that discipline can come in handy in the road race.” This comes as virtual certainty that the plan for INEOS Grenadiers is to have the Briton race both events at the Olympic Games and aim high for both.

And this presumably means that those selected for the Time Trial don't have to do a silly doubling up as so often happens in the Olympics, yes? So he earns extra brownie points from BC for that.

At least he has avoided the other two on three of his events. Makes him more likely to get something other than 3rd.

He’s won at Gavere before against mvdp and was 2nd last year in Diegem, but he’s always gonna struggle against those two in pure power numbers.
