Tomasz Marczyński

[Geraint Too Fast]

Anybody else been impressed with this guy? I've only ever noticed him in breakaway's before, but he's trying to get a good GC result at the Vuelta and he's been doing a good job of limiting his losses so far. It reminds me a bit of his team mate Thomas De Gendt, and his exploits at the Giro. Obviously I'm not expecting Marczyński to be on the podium in Madrid, but there has already been one bit of symmetry between the pair - On the second Sunday of the Giro, De Gendt finished 4th and Marczynski finished 106th. On the second Sunday of the Vuelta, Marczynski finished 4th and De Gendt finished 105th.

I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for him over the next 2 weeks.

As he is a compatriot naturally i am keeping an eye out, and impressed with his performance thus far. Im taking a cautious approach though, well see on the mountains, i think he could go the way of our other top riders and be a great superdom.

he was a great climber(2nd in alcobendas 2008 behind mosquera) when he rode in smaller italian teams(flaminia, miche), but he was always quesitonable to me, clinic wise. and his results when moving to bigger teams confirmed my suspisions at first. but it seems now he's found his way. good for him. he's no doubt a good talent

After stages 11 & 12 I thought he was starting to struggle a bit, but he proved me wrong today.

Did nobody else see his cramp attack as he crossed the line today? Hand gripping his thigh and serious pain face. Ouch.

Been a good race so far for him, but will be interesting to see if he can 1) beat Niemiec and 2) get a top ten finish.
