why not? the guy is right. Danielson is no better than guys like Ricco and Rasmussen and I hope he goes away soon.

....uh...okay...

If you want to argue with someone about Tommy D, I'm sure someone will come along soon. IDGAF.

right, well my point is that Danielson deserves all the heckling he gets.

he cheated his way to where he is now, and he is still doping by the looks of things. Yet he gets away easier than other dopers because he is one of the "good guys".

You know who gets an easier time than Danielson? The hundreds of dopers who haven't been caught in the first place.

I don't think adding extra points to the Cons column of coming out will help.

I realize it's being said in jest, but it's not really appropriate to claim the person in the article is a forum poster. So I'm editing out the reference to the poster and this thread can be about Danielson getting heckled.

You know who had a harder time than Tommy D? The guys he cheated out of prize money and team spots (careers).

Good on the heckler. A local rider who does not like dopers in his sport and made a public display of it. Aren't the fans who willingly fawn over the dopers in the sport more detrimental to achieving the ideal of clean(er) sport?

Are you saying it's ok to cheer for a guy who might be as much a doper as Tommy D(or any doper for that matter) but hasn't been caught or implicated.

Jens Voigt has received a lot of plaudits and cheers in Colorado this week, I would bet the only difference between Voigt and Tommy D is one actually admitted to doping.

Singling out those who have been caught is unfair when there is the real possibility that many of those not caught are no different.

The only exception in my book is Armstrong and like many others that is more related to the non-doping stuff. Pre cancer doper Armstrong I could deal with, Cancer Jesus Lance, not a hope.

Also ironic how a pro rider who would have likely once held the same view as the heckler is now a big fan of Tommy D.

That's kinda true, but Danielson was having his balls squeezed when he sung. If he wasn't being squeezed he wouldn't have admitted and would be like all those other guys in the peloton who are 'praying' the closet door doesn't fly open.

Wasnt it Tilford that said Danielson was never a big talent to begin with? Yet somehow he magically manages to win both before and after he doped.

...uh....wouldn't it be ridiculous to delete the reference if the member in question didn't object?

That is a great picture. Have to laugh......but isn't Kalan Beisel being a bit hypocritical? He has been a Charmichel Training Systems rider for several years. Chris even works support at some of his races.

Certainly Tommy has done some pretty lame stuff, but it is not like he poisoned kids

It seems Kalan does not hate all dopers, just dopers who talk and hurt his buddies business

Why must you smear and cause conflict?

You dont know his motivation for calling Danielson a doper.

good piece that. In stark contrast to his affidavit that paints him as a naive country boy that had no idea about doping before he arrived in europe. riiiight.

Danielson deserves all the heckling he gets.

TommyD's soon to be ex wife is fairly irate with with him. They set up TommyD training camps/centre together and little did she know Tommy was taking one of the podium girls there for a good time.

He has since moved out of the family home to shack up with the new lass a few years his junior.

Yes, there's a link. One or two, in fact. But probably don't need to provide it.

Wasn't TommyD racing during his 6 month ban also?

I'd not read that before.

Jonathan, Tom wasn’t doing it because he didn’t have any other choice when he was “ready” to turn Pro, Tom was skipping all that. He was doing it to cheat his way into the sport. There is a huge difference there. But, he meets your guide lines, your stringent litmus test, so **** it.

6 Month off season ban. Well done Tommy. And I'm sorry Lance made you dope. Just terrible.

Jebus! Don't you guys ever stop to think for a minute about whether this sort of over moderation makes sense? And people wonder why most of the interesting members here left or rarely post. Seriously, pull up a thread from a couple of years ago and start counting the number of members who no longer post here. Also marvel at the number of people banned.

P.S. The thread is a clear reference to thread I started about Tommy D. titled "Tommy D. Lighting It Up," which catalogued the many failures of TD.

Tilford'a view seems to be quite flexible when it comes to dopers. It all comes down to whether he likes the rider or whether they paid their dues or whether they are part of the good ol' boys network.

Multiple tests from multiple teams have shown TD has a big engine. Mentally it seems he is down there with five year old girls and Wiggins.

I know you hate me now but this is a great post.

I think Tilford makes some great points, but as long as Trudi works for BMC Tilford ignores Rhys, Och, Freddie Viene etc.

TD is the perfect bike racer. Big engine, not so big intellect.

If he doped from so early on in his career - could the years of doping have helped give him that 'big engine'?
