It's a shame Kudus isn't riding. He got a broken collarbone in Turkey; he would've won this one easily otherwise :(

I followed this race a bit last year when Jan Hirt won a mountain stage, seemed like a pretty cool race. Glad to see it was upped to 2.1 and the startlist looks great too

There was still Parra. He had bad luck with a crash just before the final climb of Emali. Parra finished higher than Kudus in L'Avenir btw;)

Thanks, D&C.

If you are interested, Alex Kirsch is writing a diary on his experiences in Azerbaidjan for radsport-news.com (in German). Here is today's entry:

Sounds like the wind was pretty fierce: "The biggest problem was staying on the bike"

lol, yes crosswinds are easily becoming the most "dangerou"s element in pro racing.

Now how to get the stuff on demand.

Thanks for the link. Always good to hear from a young voice of the peloton.

I love the twitter feed :) Good coverage, and every now and then a spelling error that makes you smile :)

1. ROGLIC Primoz (Adria Mobil)
2. CLARKE Will (Drapac) 0:10

Seems to have been from a breakaway

Strong break today

Currently Zakarin is leading solo he was with Gerdemann but he just punctured.
Chasing group 2-3 minutes down (they were originally with Gerdemann and Zakarin) and peloton about 4-5 minutes down with about 13K to go.
