All to play for
Pogacar will defend it probably, since they want team classification as well.My bet before the Tour was Seixas. Now I voted Torito.
2018 was pretty horrific. Five flat sprints, a TTT, two hilly stages that weren't really raced and a cobbles stage that also underdelivered. In addition, pretty much every GC contender bar Thomas either crashed out or lost time to crashes/mechanicals. Purely in terms of racing this week was less bad, but the outlook for the rest of the race is clearly worse.Lenny.
Also, hast this been the worst first week of the Tour in quite a while? Can't remember anything worse at least since thinking back until 2019.
Opening weekend could've been an email, the best was actually the TTT I would say which says it all. Afterwards we had one GC mountain stage that completely killed the race, 2 sub par breakaway stages and 3 sprints.
I thought the first week of 2019 was quite fun, 2018 was pretty poor IMO.Lenny.

odds on 365 :
2.25 - del toro
2.62 - lipoblitz
3.50 - muaddib
6.50 - evenepoel
8.00 - ayuso
Even if that is the case, there are only 2 real uphill finishes. If Lipowitz drops him by 30 seconds each on Solaison and Alpe d'Huez, then he will still finish behind Evenepoel in GC (30 seconds behind already and the TT).yeah the odds reflect the strength on tourmalet , i think thats reasonable
tomorrow and the itt will favour evenepoel , but i expect lipo to drop him on all the hard uphill finishes
Bet a buck on Remco, easy money.Even if that is the case, there are only 2 real uphill finishes. If Lipowitz drops him by 30 seconds each on Solaison and Alpe d'Huez, then he will still finish behind Evenepoel in GC (30 seconds behind already and the TT).
It is also far from impossible that Evenepoel gains time on another stage. Their odds to podium should be far closer at least, if not the other way around.
The best bet should be a head-to-head vs. Lipowitz. The podium is far more uncertain.Bet a buck on Remco, easy money.
Don't know why Lipowitz is so short, Del Toro and Seixas were at least as strong so far and Remco will gain 1 minute on TT aloneodds on 365 :

The odds reflect the fact Evenepoel has strung together only two competent GT performances in his career, from six attempts.Evenepoel was a bit disappointing on Tourmalet, but his odds seem too long here. I am surprised that Lipowitz is so short.
I think it will be between Seixas, Del Toro and Evenepoel.
