Tour De France General thread.

I thought Cavendish flooring Veelers looked deliberate; Cav adamant it wasn't. Deserves benefit of doubt, IMO, but big question ...

... is whether or not he returned that recorder he snatched from journo who asked him if the crash was his fault. #prayforthejourno

Instead of the Lantern Rouge there should be a prize for rider with the best placings yet worse time and vice versa. In this day an age such placings seem absent :D

Looks like a huge lead for Froome. What is it with recent GCs and being completely dominated from the beginning early on (Wiggins, Nibali, Froome).

id like see the breakaway table like giro has, for most km spent away in the breaks.

Also intermediate sprint table make it interesting.

On side note tony martin seemed to make clinic comments on froome.

Mods -
Couldn't we just sticky this thread so we have a single place to discuss upcoming stages without having to weed through 3 different (but the same) poll/threads on Andy, 3-4 different (but the same) polls/threads re: "tour is over"/how much will Froome win by, and however many other ridiculous polls that are swamping the list of threads????
Thanks

What the Fuq! This is just horrible. I don't care how you feel about Cav or the incident he had with Veelers. He doesn't deserve that! The fan that did this should be ashamed.

http://www.velonation.com/News/ID/1...h-urine-during-Tour-de-France-time-trial.aspx

I fear for his slow climb of Alpe d Huez. There will be mobs of grade A morons waiting for him. Hopefully he'll get some protection in the grupetto. But who's to say it would stop with urine? The riders should strike if there's any further incidents.

Just saw the earnings in the CN shorts article, and the values dont match with mine.

can some one help me to figure out my mistakes.

On the second rest day, OPQS has so far won a total of €82,740, not quite double that of second-placed Cannondale, which has €41,440. Team Sky has dropped from second to third, at €40,950, but can reasonably be expected to win the money title along with the race title in Paris next Sunday evening.

All 22 teams in the race have earned money so far, with French teams FDJ.fr and Cofidis at the bottom of the list, with €4,540 and €4,530 respectively.

My values are

sky: 41550
cannondale:38440
OPQS: 66740
