Tour de France streaming from NBC Sports?

Hi,

Does anyone know if Versus/NBC Sports will be streaming the Tour de France this year as they did last year? I don't get Versus at home, but last year I was able to pay about $20.00 and watch the TdF via internet streaming, which was great because it was just Phil and Paul doing commentary, with no extra goofy stuff that they do on the televised broadcast.

The old Versus web site is gone (now that they are part of NBC/Comcast), it now redirects to nbcsports.com and from there I wasn't able to find anywhere to purchase the ability to stream the broadcast.

Has anyone heard or know whether this will be possible again this year?

Thanks,

-Eric

Eric, I saw an ad while watching Versus:

Tour de France All Access
Full tour pass $29.95

Eric - normally I record the Paul/Phil two hour show on my DVR and watch later at night when convenient. I avoid reading the news and so on so I don't know what happened until I watch the stage.

Does the streaming service allow you to play the two-hour condensed Paul / Phil shows? Or at least the recorded live coverage? Or is it only good for streaming live coverage?

And when go to the site after the stage is over, would the result be right there in headlines such that if you were wanting to watch the stage after completion (assuming they have replay) you would find out before you watched it?

I'm going to be out of town for up to two weeks during the Tour so was trying to decicde if All Access would be sufficient or if I should try to setup a Slingbox to pull stuff off my DVR while away.

Thanks,
Jon

What would be ideal is the following...

1. Amgen to sponsor the TdF if solely for...
2. Mirror the ATOC website for the TdF
3. ???
4. Profit.

They had a few moments during the race where there was no announcing team and the microphone were on the motorcycles. I doubt it was planned that way, but it was nice to watch.

If it works like it did before it was bought, you're able to watch, in addition to live streaming, the TV version (shortly after the stage but minus the commercials), and also a recording of the entire stage as it appeared when it streamed. Definitely worth the money.
