If you have any additions to the startlist post them here, I will update the OP. If you can help me fix the 1200 pixels thingie also let me know so I can edit the profiles in.

Power injured , so Henao should win this easily
I really hope Henao won't win. It's a shame WT riders are now allowed to race

I expect De Plus on the final podium

Mühlberger, Haig, Tao G. Hart/Pearson, Oomen, Petilli/Ravasi/Ciccone, Maison/Martin, Mühlberger, everyone from Colombia , Eiking/Lunke, Kamna .... should be a good race

I dont think so, for example Marc Soler looks very solid nowadays :)

I personally am really looking forward to how Caio Godoy will go he should ride with the Mondial team. He had a really unlucky season so far, with 2 broken collarbones despite that Bretagne offered him a spot as a trainee, but that in the end didnt work out due to work visa problems :(. Last year in Avenir he crashed hard on the first mountain stage and couldnt reach his level afterwards, hopefully his luck turns and he can go for a top 10.

How many pros will be interested? Latour and Kudus for instance could come to this race and totally smash it (would not make it more interesting of course)

Dont think we ll see too many, Latour wont be there as French selection is already made, Kudus Im not sure if he can even ride Eritrea is not there and I think you need to be a member of the UCI squad to ride for the mondial team. Kudus did ride for the team in the past but as he now rides for MTN I dont think he can ride with them.

Last year and before PCT riders were already allowed but most countries preferred to give chances to their none pro's so I think it will be the same this year and we won't see many pros.

For me it is a great step forward that WT riders can now compete along the rest of U-23's.

Looking forward to the performance of Marc Soler. He is supposedly the best Spanish talent in a while...

WT riders can ride, does that mean the Yates brothers can ride?

Why would they possible want to go back to the kiddie races?

He's asking if they potentially could race, not that they should go there.

well when lars bak won this he was a pro also, and moises duenas winning was unfair as well, he was like 25 at the time..
Didn't Dueñas win it before it was U23, I think it used to be open/am like the Girobio U27 before. Wiggins did it at 25 as well, when he won a stage. I know back in the 70s and 80s it was open/am, hence Fignon winning it after he'd already won the Tour de France twice, and the Ostbloc teams there.

Lots of riders were pros when they won it prior to the move to U23s in 2007 or 2008 kind of time - Banesto in particular sent pros there, with Casero, Unai Osa and Menchov all winning Avenir while contracted to them.

Danish team have four guys who will be selected:

Søren Kragh Andersen
Alexander Kamp
Mads Würtz Schmidt
Mads Pedersen

Martin Grøn is probably there too, for the last place I don't know, maybe Almindsø.

Italian selection:
Giulio Ciccone (Team Colpack)
Simone Consonni (Team Colpack)
Gianni Moscon (Zalf Euromobil Désirée Fior)
Simone Petilli (Unieuro Wilier Trevigiani)
Edward Ravasi (Team Colpack)
Oliviero Troia (Team Colpack)

I am really impressed by the strength of the Colombian team and I am even wondered if Henao would be their team leader? Of course he already impressed in the Giro of last year, but there is not yet a excellent climbing performance in a one week race on my mind and I did not have a clue about his current shape. Anyone? (Denmark and Langkawi were pretty decent, but those captured only shorter climbs)
I don't expect Contreras will be the better climber, but Martinez, Reyes and Chavez already showed this season some great performances. Who of them will be the last man for Henao? Or might even become team leader?

Very talented group of young danish riders there, Wurtz surprisingly smashed everyone in the TT in Post DK, Mads Pedersen is a huge talent, and Søren Kragh has been a genious so far this season. Curious to see what Kamp can do, he was flying up Kiddesvej the other day.
