Weather not great at the moment after our mini heatwave, rain forecast later today and it’s supposed to be very windy on Saturday up in Scarborough.

Think this is GVA's to loose. Although I think if Sky got behind Doull he could push him.

Lawless FTW today I think.

COURSE UPDATE: Due to weather conditions, the finish in Scarborough on Saturday has been altered slightly and will be the alternative one, as used in 2017, roughly 500m before the "traditional" finish.

I assume WC circuit is just an interim on way to Bedale, so wont really be raced

Yes, but it’ll still be good to see just how narrow and lumpy it is in parts.

I love having racing on my own roads but It's embarrassing when the commentators say sh!te like "This is racing Yorkshire style, proper racing"

Yeh, because racing elsewhere is just easy.

Nasty crash from a Total Direct Energie rider. Lost it over the speed bump and went headfirst into the edge of the kerb.

The bunch aren’t going to mess this up on stage 1 for the 2nd year running, are they? :surprised:

Didn't look like it but the peloton waited again. Break needs to keep working all the way and they have a slim chance.

Asselman with a beautiful victory. Clearly the strongest of the front 4 at the end.
