Tour Down Under 2025 - Men's (Jan. 21-26)

So first of the season and we all have to get used to changes in kit to recognize teams and riders.

My curse is having deficient color vision and being a fan of EF Education. I know the pink stands out for others, but it is an unremarkable gray to me. Last year they had yellow flashing on their left arm so I had a chance. This year the left has a just a white band, which doesn't do much for me.

Marriage and Browning look like they're in sync
They're probably our two biggest talents on that team. Would be surprised if they didn't get WT contracts next year.
I have no adverts watching in the USA for this race.

My feed has the announcers of course, but I can also here what I think is a producer's voice. A voice saying things that should only be heard by people wearing the head phones. She says things like "going to break in ten secons....eight.....five, four , three..." and of course.."returning from break in seven...six ..." And she says these kinds of things very frequently. So I pity those viewers.
We genuinely have 2 minutes of racing to 5 minutes of ads.

I always thought having impaired color vision would be a severe handicap for a cycling fan.

Just rewatched the final kilometres.

A final 5 kilometres with that much downhill shouldn’t be allowed in a WT race, that could have gone even worse than it already did.

Despite the win, not impressed by Welsford. Launches from the front well inside the final 200 metres and even if he hadn’t sat up a bit early it would have been closer than it should have been.

Conversely that was a strong debut by Brennan, zero help from his teammates in the finale but kept position throughout and his kick wasn’t half bad either. As I said pre-race, he has a good chance of being the race’s youngest ever stage winner.
