Moderate tail to cross winds on the way back home to the finish.

Stage 4 start time: Wednesday 12:20 AST (8:20:00 PM UTC+1100);
Earliest live video: 14:50 AST (10:50:00 PM UTC+1100);
Approximate finish: 15:45 AST (11:45:00 PM UTC+1100);

Stage 4 is almost an out and back; however the return route back south is on a differenct road and the finish in Al Kharaitiyat is just west of the start in West Bay Lagoon. The winds will be moderate (8 mph WNW) which means the return trip south will be the faster leg - Steve from Steephill

Boonen to reverse his luck.

Btw, did John Wayne name the start town? Just need to replace Al Kharaitiyat with Last Chance Saloon.

I will go for a quickstep win, whoever they decide is going for the win today, no point in them going for the gc unless something odd happens and I guess they would like one of the other sprinters to have a go too, boonen has tested his fitness and won a stage so his job is done, I will guess chichi for the win..

Gabba Rasch talked to procycling.no about todays stage and he said their plan is to try and get rid of Renshaw in the crosswind today.

Interesting stuff. A real statement of intent; as someone may have once said, "Sometimes you're the hammer, sometimes the nail." HTC have always been the hammer. Until now? Early days I know.

Well, the Cervelo guys aren't the biggest HTC fans in the world so it's no surprise really.

It is to me. No-one likes the school bully but it requires a certain self belief to tell him you're going to slap him around the playground.

Garmin weren't exactly their biggest fans either so really it was a match made in heaven when they merged.
