I regret that Cannondale is not riding. This was one of my favourite races to follow.

Only one WT team. We used to have between 3 and 6 each year in Utah. I guess that adding that London race to the WT harms the quality of the field in this race.

Yeah that, or maybe Tour of Poland. But it's a shame because the route is pretty good for a good race.
I am guessing the climbs were not tough enough today for the peloton. Any known sprinters in the group?

Yeah, this year the best US stage race has a really poor field and I don't really like the route, no Park City stage but a MTT.

What a disappointing startlist, I barely know any of these guys...

Me neither, but Francisco Mancebo is there! Haven't thought of him in years, thought he'd be retired by now. I used to like him, back before Puerto, so at least I have someone to root for in this race.

The field looks weak, but as Redhead says, some new rider can come onto my radar (e.g. Costa last year and Matthews a few years back).

On the other hand, someone from BMC should win, probably Bookwalter.

Ciccone could be a factor, he seems to be back on track and he was strong in Austria.

Tour of Poland has been colliding with Utah for years (it's only moved to mid July for Olympic years), so I don't think it's the reason. Prudential RideLondon going WT is what differs this year from any other that saw Utah with stronger field. Having 3 WT races in Europe at the same time makes it really hard for teams to find enough riders to send them to a 4th race which is held in the other part of the world. Maybe they should think about moving Utah to another date because I believe that teams with interest in the American market should be willing to take part if it is held on a more conveniet date.
