To me that sounds like an agent dreaming of a new boat.To me that sounds like severe budget cuts, and a need to capitalize on riders under contract.

CCC's license was offered to Alpecin, who politely declined. Confirmed by Alpecin's manager Roodhooft.I've read some rumours that Alpecin are going to take over CCC's WT license.
They've always been a team on a budget, before they ever had Sunweb on boardThe pattern has started long before Covid-19. Once they had Dumoulin but they've never replaced him with another rider capable of winning a GT. Once they had Kittel but now they no longer have a sprinter capable of regular wins on pancake flat stages on TdF level. Barguil left after 2017 despite having a contract for 2018 IIRC. It just seems like it's just beyond them to keep a strong team together for a few consecutive years.
Possibly relevant to this discussion. Scott are said to leaving Mitchelton and going to Sunweb. While jumbo are going with Cervelo. Will be odd not seeing them on Bianchi bikes
Both of those bikes were name sponsors of those teams for a while. But then, even Peugeot switched bikes after they became Z.Interesting. It feels like Sunweb only just switched Giant for Cervelo, while Scott seemed part of the furniture at Mitchelton
A 1-year extension doesn't feel like a lot of confidence for the long term.I guess they view Fabbro as a long term project (like most of their younger riders).
Yes, they probably just wanted to give him a chance to prove himself in a more "normal" season (fingers crossed).A 1-year extension doesn't feel like a lot of confidence for the long term.
In which case he will for sure be moving to Isreael no? Adams will open his wallet once more.I think Bora are no longer getting their money's worth from Sagan and they have a lot of talented guys winning. . So i expect Sagan to leave after his contract is over at Bora.
There are some rumours that he'll quit road cycing and focus on MTB (Specilized would still give him nice money) and that he's just trying to get as much money as possible out of this (and the next season), the reason why he's racing the Giro.In which case he will for sure be moving to Isreael no? Adams will open his wallet once more.
Are there any rumours about Zakarin?
Nice signing, should get some freedom in the classics.
Makes sense, especially if they want more invites.Gazprom according to sporza.
