I have a trek 6 series madone and just wondered if there is a manufacturer out there who makes a compatible seatpost that is more compliant/flexible/ comfort -( whatever term you want to use ) that I could try. I'm not ready for a Domane !, just want to improve rider comfort a bit, this is a genuine question and look forward to all ideas and surgestions

You're stuck with the Trek post. You can get different setbacks, and there's two different lengths but no difference in compliance that I know of.

I weight 165lbs and my Madone 5.9 seat mast feels compliant enough to me (it's a strange feeling at first, sort of feels like your rear tire is low on pressure).

I also ride HED C2 rims with 23mm tires at about 85psi which makes a huge difference.

Bigger tires less hard. no Seatmast options to accomplish your needs are available. If you have not tried them get a pair of 25 mm tires and put lower pressure. You might find pressures as low as 85 pounds work well without sacrificing handling and often improving it.
