:D

I would if I lived anywhere near New Zealand. Sounds like fun, although I'd probably find myself descending backwards half-way up the climb.

Not to pick a nit..but try this one. In the U.S., Dirty Dozen which is actually 13 climbs of the steepest streets in and around Pittsburgh. To qualify, the street must be at least 20 percent in grade. Tops out at Canton Avenue which is listed as steepest street in the world and paved with cobbles. Ride is usually done the Saturday right after Thanksgiving.

Here is an article on a competitors site:

Not to quibble but what's the big deal in a 19% hill. Some of the GT hills were 20% and England has paved roads of around 33% including Hardknott Pass (which I pushed my bike over).

It's a 19 degree slope,i.e 34.4%.

34% is a mightly steep climb and it's not that it pitches at that gradient but maintains it for its 350 metres, plenty of big climbs that pitch at a high grade but don't maintain them for any length of time. Hardknott Pass looks plenty tough but doesn't pitch above 25.3% with and average of 11% over its length http://veloviewer.com/segments/637403

Come down to Oz and try out the last 6.4 k's of Mt Baw Baw, pitches at 28% with the same average of Hardknott at 11% but 4 k's longer http://veloviewer.com/segments/7007791
Love that climb!!! :D
