A freeper figures out why Obama won the women's vote.

Then you also have the thing about many female voters often voting for the man whose looks they like and many females tending to like men who have smaller heads and appear less threatening. So this is another factor that got Obama votes.

The freebie of free birth control and the scare of not being able to have an abortion also get a large percentage of female voters to vote Democrat.

Yup. Just as I suspected. Obama won because he has a smaller head than Romney.
There's a segment of the country - most of them rich and all of them deluded - that thinks ending slavery was treasonous, and that giving the vote to women just ensured the traitors would stay in charge. I'm pretty sure most of this segment descends directly from the pre-civil war south - they just never stopped fighting it.

Folks here at the office were talking about since President Obama was reelected they are going to move off somewhere. They don't want any social health care and think President Obama was going to tax us Merikans to oblivion. They were talking about going to Canada. I started laughing my a$$ off at them. People live next door to another country and have no clue what the tax rates are and that Canada has the MCP cards. funny stuff going on here at my office.

As far as President Obama getting anything done well I hold out no hope for that.
...please tell your friends that this course of action may be a problem as we have marshalled our vast army and placed it on the border to prevent certain undesirables from crossing into the promised land....we remember the last that happened and we ended up with this gawd awful mess we now call Alberta...we will not let that happen again...

...hold on! just got this news flash from your new provisional government( Sharia Law based of course...praise Allah!!!...)....it would appear youse guys will be nicely taken care of...

"Attention Freepers, Republicans, Tea Partiers and sundry fellow travellers.

Please lets have an orderly transition.

1. Please, collect all your guns and ammo and have them ready at the front door. Obama's army of U.N. officials will be along soon to commandeer them.

2. Please, when the Obama army comes to take you to your concentration camp, please have only 1 bag and one personal item as space in the overhead compartment is limited.

3. Please, when Planned Parenthood shows up at your front door to give you your mandatory abortion, do not complain, if you are a man, just show your penis and be polite.

4. Please, have your gasoline and coal standing by, Obama's army of Global Warming Activists will be along soon to retrofit your car and install solar panels on your roof.

5. And please remember, just because your insurance company is forced to cover things like pre-existing conditions, there is no need to panic as you will receive the best care the government can dole out during your stay in our concentration camps.

6. If you are part of the 1%, simply proceed to the nearest wall, and await further instructions.

Thank you for your co-operation."

game rooster....LOL at myself ...I had no idea the filter took that word out. Hey rouetheday is from southcliq making fun of Ole Miss. Something about someone in Southcarolina making fun of the State of Mississippi makes me laugh. Sorry Roue...I am not laughing at you but just your post.
Well, actually, I'm from NC not SC. I just happen to find myself living in SC currently. And it may not seem like much of a distinction to outsiders, but to us Tarheels it's like going from Manhattan to Staten Island. Yeah, I said it. :p

Pretty much anyone that comes out here learns very quickly how badly they have been deceived by the Maple Leafs legend.

Once that curtain falls, they become westerners quite quickly and have no intention of going back.

John Boehner has stated that the Repubs in the House won't raise taxes 1 dollar, no matter what. So, we're right back where we started.

Eight years ago at this time Bush stated that the American people had given him a mandate. With that he was able to use a lot of political insider maneuvering, and key speeches to get a lot of conservative legislation through a fairly divided Congress. Sixteen years ago Clinton did similar, but made great use of the bully pulpit to connect with people and pressure Congress.

So far we have never seen Obama rise to that level, but if he ever had it in him to step up and do so, now is the time, for the next six months will mean everything to his presidency, and legacy.
He doesn't have a choice. The Bush tax cuts expire next year don't they?

Crazy talk Frenchfry! Take it easy if these guys find out I am talking to someone from FRANCE they will hang me by my balls.

Well here is the kicker folks. President Obama is going after Big Oil! Not little Oil but the Bigger ones. That and he will stop any permits for the Eastern gulf of mexico.

That about does it for me. I could handle him being from another country and not a real Merikan, he is a Muslim, razing taxes, taking my guns but this President going after Big Oil is just mindz numbing.

Off to Canada for me.
"razing" taxes is what Romney was proposing ;)

They haven't learned a thing.

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/266649-conservatives-lambast-romney-vow-to-take-over-gop

Conservative leaders on Wednesday lashed out at Mitt Romney, saying his attempts to paint himself as a moderate and hide his principles cost him the presidency. They vowed to wage a war to put the Tea Party in charge of the Republican Party by the time it nominates its next presidential candidate.

Jenny Beth Martin of Tea Party Patriots said Romney failed to make the kind of strong case for conservatism that would have won the election.

It should have been a landslide if Romney had run as a true conservative,” said Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center.

“Romney took all the right stances, no question. The problem was not communicating them on the national stage with President Obama,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, the head of the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List.

Martin argued that there was no repudiation of the Tea Party by the electorate because Tea Party values were not firmly articulated.

“This is not the death of the Tea Party,” Martin said.

“Tea Partiers will take over the Republican party in the next four years,” Viguerie said.

Bozell said conservative groups need to up their financial pressure on GOP lawmakers unless they agree to a series of demands, including again vowing to approve of no tax increases for anyone.
Just as delusional as before and well along the road to irrelevancy.

Well yeah!

300 points down. That is nothing compared to what is going to happen now that we have to pay for all these free things that President Obama is giving out. :eek:/QUOTE]

Free things is imprecise. At any rate that the market can give a grade to a democratic election, is merely a demonstration of how national sovereignty is an illusion.

Boehner's already walking it back.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/boehner-opens-door-to-new-revenue-to-halt-debt/2012/11/07/2912c5ce-2919-11e2-b4e0-346287b7e56c_story.html

While Boehner suggested that Republicans would still oppose Obama’s plan to take “a larger share of what the American people earn through higher tax rates,” he said the party is open to “increased revenue . . . as the byproduct of a growing economy, energized by a simpler, cleaner, fairer tax code, with fewer loopholes, and lower rates for all.”

It was not immediately clear whether Boehner meant that Republicans would acquiesce only to fresh revenues generated through economic growth rather than actual tax increases. Republicans have long argued that reforming the tax code would generate revenue by improving the economy, an assertion that budget analysts say is difficult to measure. Democrats have insisted that any deal must include tax code changes that would add to government coffers whether or not they help the economy.

But Boehner hinted that he is open to the latter, citing a Republican offer during the negotiations of the congressional supercommittee last fall, as well as his own negotiations with Obama during the 2011 debt-limit battle.

Boehner mentioned his negotiations with Obama in the speech Wednesday, saying: “We’re closer than many think to the critical mass needed legislatively to get tax reform done.”
In other words, we're willing to negotiate now.

Some more classics from the wonderful world of wingnuts.:D

"Thank you Mitt & Ann for your families' sacrifice, as well as Paul Ryan & his family! You all are a bright light & I so hoped we could have elected you as our new leaders to bring honesty & integrity back to our country. Unfortunately, it was not to be...so much adversity, the race was not fair! It is actually amazing the race was as close, considering the MSM working against us at every turn, as well as the rampant voter fraud in every swing state.

I just know that we fought for what we believed & honestly cast our ONE vote each! I can go to sleep tonight knowing that I followed my heart & still respected my fellow man by being honest. 50 percent of our population can't say that! "

"Well come on bankruptcy!!!!
It can't come fast enough for me I want to see those welfare *****s starve!!!! Then we will see if they blame bush!!!! Bwahaha"

"My heart grieves for this country. Too many uneducated voters, bias on tv, I just can't believe this happened. God will not bless this country until we turn back to Him. I pray for those people. Benghazi?! What have we become?"

"All the rich people should protest, close up their businesses and go on welfare too!!"

" Bet Obama would like to blame BUSH FOR BENGHAZI"

"I am with you on this...They just handed our country over to antichrist..."

" Once Benghazi truth comes out.. We can start the impeachment process.."

"I want to put on the back window of my car "You obama are not my president but you are Gods puppet" collect ammo, water, food and supplies we're probably going to need it!"

"Classy response, Rea, typical of a socialist/Marxist. The most violent, most rude, and the biggest drains on our society won last night. Margaret Thatcher put it right when she said socialism works great until you stop finding people to take money from. Sleep in a tent, Rea, loot, rob, and pillage, with your "occupy" brethren."

"Bama really got away with murder in libya"

"He more than got away with murder! he showed them that killing our ambassadors bares no consequence!!"

" Many have already been collecting food storage, gun and ammo. People need go really think about what took place last night. We need to be prepared."

"welcome to the socialist republic of america, where God is attacked and everything immoral is acceptable"

"Obama puts Americans out of work and buys the all our resources from Middle Eastern/Arab countries! Communist!"

" Notice how all the African Americans want Obama back in, hell their gonna loose their free ride if he dont....shame shame...go Romney!!! Go get a job u freeloaders!!"

"The Unions, Womens, Blacks, Immigrants, Gays, Muslims, Welfare people, all helped Obama get re-elected. Sadly, this country will pay the price in the next few month as a depression, war, and lost of wealth will occur. Obama voters will pay the price as will innocent bystanders too."

(Yup, everyone except middle aged and older white men voted the POTUS in):D

"Rosario. guess Jesus likes Obama better than Romney right now because Obama appears to be in the lead."

"That does not mean Jesus loves obama more. Maybe it means this is the beginning of the end, prophecy fulfilled. Someone has to set things in motion"

"BHO will NEVER be my President….he is Hitler re-lived and I hate that thought of living another 4 years under his pathetic dictatorship."

"I agree but its not gonna happen now cause some people wanted their free phones."

Apologies for the length, but it's a quick read. Thank you, and good night.;)

...so what you are saying that there is a cure for the dreaded Leaf mania but involves moving to Alberta and/or becoming a westerner....hmmm...seems the cure may be worse than the disease...I mean it could mean merely trading one pathos for another...

...but this is kinda intriguing...so, if say, hypothetically speaking of course, I had a brother who is a Leaf fan of the most pathetic sort ( someone who has season tickets...Golds at centre ice...Row 16...has several Leafs beach towels.....often goes off into delusional rambling about winning the Stanely Cup...etc etc...) and he moved to Vancouver...could he be cured, or does that magic curtain just drop in Alberta?....

Cheers

Now that Colorado & Washington have voted to legalize recreational marijuana, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out with the feds. Under federal law, of course, marijuana use is illegal. And federal law generally supersedes state law. But in the case of medical marijuana, the federal law prohibiting marijuana use hasn't been rigorously enforced. So there is a precedent for not enforcing federal law. However, the feds aren't as likely to look the other way with recreational use. Ultimately this thing will end up in the Supreme Court. I wonder how the court's conservative "state's rights" justices will approach this one.:D

Ultimately, recreational marijuana will become legal throughout the nation. It'll take a few years, and some pitched battles, to get there. But get there we will.

I would be happy to offer any interested US party the benefit of my 23 years experience living in a country that was the first to get smart on this issue.

I guess you could say this has been a great year for Clinic liberals. A great month.

Among the many reasons why Romney lost, the Latino vote stands out. He got only 27% of it, down from 31% for McCain and 40% for Bush--while the Latino proportion of the population has grown 25% in that period.

I wonder how much better Romney would have done without the self-deportation comments, and if he had picked Rubio as VP. The latter pick probably would have made the difference in Florida, and would have helped him in Western states like NV, CO and NM. Still would have lost the election, but it might have been a lot closer electorally.

Early predictions for 2016: Hillary vs. Chris Christie. And I like Hillary for that, by that time she will probably be the most experienced Pres. candidate in history. With Bill helping her with the economy, I guess even Scottie would vote for her.

I think that would depend on which direction the Republican party moves over the next 3 years. If the Tea Party psychos continue to gain power then Christie won't win the nomination. They will be sour on him for a while as a consequence of his perceived pandering to Obama in the wake on Hurricane Sandy.

Anyone surprised how little Global Warming did not feature in the campaign for President? Is that potentially because of the problems with passing an ETS through Congress therefore is a non-issue?

I think it would be hard to get through at the best of times, but with a weak economy almost impossible. Also very hard to get through the US congress with all the big oil money floating around.
