Lol how did I miss this guy? I thought that there were only two of these accounts hanging around a cycling forum not to post about cycling but to obsessively post about how much they love licking Trump’s boots, but it turns out that there actually three. Who knew that brain trauma was contagious?

I note by the way that none of these lads can actually defend the right wing pseudo-news story about Biden. They don’t even bother to try. When challenged on any of the details of the “alternative news” they continuously post they just move on and post more of the same drivel. None of it is actually intended to be defensible. It’s just intended to fill political discussion with effluent.
On topic posts are a problem for you while the lame insults flow freely... which is predictive of an IQ score <80.

This is the US Politics thread. Whomever wishes to post here, in fact, may. However do try and follow the rules. Even the dumbest people can find a way to do that.

As I said earlier “No doubt one of these clowns will now convince themselves that I’m defending Hunter Biden!”.

The point is not that Hunter Biden is pure as the driven snow or that any of us should like him, or the Trump spawn or any of the other children of prominent politicians, making large sums of money because of who they are related to. The point is that this particular story about him was manufactured. Right wing media operates by creating an endless series of misleading, exaggerated or simply false stories to keep the slack jawed rubes riled up. The stories don’t stand up to scrutiny and aren’t even designed to.
I'm not sure how many times you are going to go back and edit your posts to make them sound less hate filled, but if you can't read your own words and see them for what they are, I can't help you. Maybe you should just turn on Stelter or Madcow to get your Facts.

(Major) Garrett began by saying that, while he had a problem with the president’s rhetoric, it didn’t always match up with what he was doing — particularly when it came to his relationship with minorities.

“Sometimes under-covered stories are complicated,” Garrett said of that relationship. “This one falls resolutely in that category.”

“His rhetoric is unacceptable,” Garrett continued, invoking the president’s oft-misquoted comments regarding unrest several years ago in Charlottesville. “Charlottesville is what people hear and think about when they think about the president and people of color, and yet it can be fairly said that this administration, because of President Trump’s quiet prodding, has done quite a bit for funding of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, the First Step Act, which was massive first step toward criminal justice reform.”

Garrett cited several other steps taken by the administration toward criminal justice reform and noted that the Opportunity Zones created in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act benefited communities of color as well.

That is a legacy on the agenda side that almost any president after three years would want to claim, particularly President Obama,” Garrett concluded. “Many of those things were sought, but you know what, Republicans would not go for it. Quietly, persistently, President Trump has pushed Republicans in this direction and I think that’s an under-covered story.”

And the million dollar question remains regarding Obama... why? There is exactly two reasons why things do not get done. Either Obama didn’t know how to... or he didn‘t want to (bad enough).

This of course leaves the true-believers in a quandary. If Obama is a bright guy then he didn’t want to. If he wanted to then he wasn’t bright enough to figure out how.

Either way, expect some interesting and what will be seen as ‘unexpected’ results in November 2020.

Joe must be so, so proud. The best part is, of course, but not for Schiff & The Gang, ol’ Hunter would have (because of Daddy) stayed under the radar forever.

Now, piece by piece, the Biden family business is seeing the light of day.

The IRS placed a tax lien on Hunter Biden seeking $112,805 in unpaid taxes from 2015, according to records the Daily Caller News Foundation obtained.

The federal agency issued the previously unreported lien in November 2018 and it seeks unpaid taxes for a year in which Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, served on the boards of the Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings and the Chinese private equity firm BHR Partners.

“We have made a demand for payment of this liability, but it remains unpaid,” the IRS stated in the lien notice, which it filed with the Washington, D.C., Recorder of Deeds. “Therefore, there is a lien in favor of the United States on all property and rights to property belonging to this taxpayer for the amount of these taxes.”

The tax lien was issued against Hunter Biden and his ex-wife, Kathleen Biden, but was delivered to the same address Hunter Biden has on file with Connecticut’s Judicial Branch, an address that is also linked to his law firm, Owasco PC.

It does not appear that Hunter Biden has resolved his tax debt to the IRS. No corresponding lien release form has been filed with the Washington, D.C., Recorder of Deeds.

Hunter Biden’s lawyer, George Mesires, did not return multiple requests for comment asking whether Hunter Biden’s unpaid taxes from 2015 were related to his work with Burisma or BHR Partners and whether the lien has been released.

Major Garrett has been noticably changing his hate Trump at all costs rhetoric to a bit more centrist tone recently. I began noticing it more and more during the impeachment hearings where he was a daily commentator on CBS coverage. Not everyone in MSM is willing to sink with the ship. I have a feeling we are going to see a bit more favorable shade of coverage as the allegations that are trickling out become to look more fact like. Going to be fun. Go Durham! Take the Republicans involved down with them.

Most Trump haters probably have no idea what he has done for the Historically Black Colleges. Financial help that they begged for during Obama's presidency, has now been opened up. The Trump haters will probably now argue that all private universities should have access to the same federal funds.

Some good news.

California is poised to lose a congressional seat for the first time in its history as a state, based on U.S. Census Bureau population estimates released Monday that showed the nation’s growth continued to slow in 2019.

Some 27 states and the District of Columbia lost residents through net domestic migration between 2018 and 2019, the new census data show.

About 203,000 people left California in that period, a result of the state’s shifting migration patterns and economic strains that are making it harder to afford living here. New York, Illinois, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Louisiana also saw large losses to other states.

California’s potential loss in reapportionment, which will be determined by next year’s census count, would drop the state’s number of seats in the U.S. House of Representatives from 53 to 52, said William Frey, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.

“It’s got a lot to do with dispersion from California to the rest of the west,” Frey said. “Arizona, Texas and Colorado are all big destinations for California migrants, and they all are gaining seats.”

Only in California can you record a net loss of residents while seeing an increase in numbers of votes cast. Maybe Chicago, but that's a different story.

Well yes, you are right, Trump is a very good example. He regularly states things that are wildly, baldly, obviously untrue and simply doubles down on them when their falsehood is pointed out.

Today’s example, and really you could take one from just about any day, is claiming repeatedly on Twitter that he is proud to have brought in the Veterans Choice program. He has made the same claim repeatedly in the last six months, sometimes adding gloating about the failure of every previous a President to do something similar. The problem is that it was actually introduced in a Bill Cosponsored by Bernie Sanders and John McCain and was signed into law by Obama in 2014.

So why does he loudly and repeatedly tell very stupid, very easily disproven, lies like this? Where does genuine confusion - presumably a symptom of dementia - end and cynical contempt for the suckers who vote for him begin? To what extent do the two coexist? He knows that his base won’t check up on his claim. Better yet, he knows that the right wing propaganda machine won’t tell them that he’s lying and that they either won’t see or will dismiss as media lies information from less tainted sources. He can say anything he likes to the true believers and he does.
trump signed a bill that eliminated the program’s expiration date and twice signed legislation that authorized funding to keep the program afloat. this happened back in 2017. otherwise it would have expired. the bill does not cover just any choice it is very limited though.
so yeah he is not telling the 100% truth on the origins of the choice program. but trump has taken it much further than the previous president.

Trump also has used executive orders to advance veterans-specific policies, including one aimed at increasing accountability at the VA. Another extends mental health coverage to all veterans during the first-year transition back to civilian life.

June 6 2018, Trump signed the VA MISSION Act of 2018, a bipartisan bill that calls for a number of changes at the VA. The new law continues the Veterans Choice Program for a year, but then replaces it with the Veterans Community Care Program.

The new program expands the criteria for those who seek care outside of the VA health care system. For example, it allows a veteran to go to a private provider if the “covered veteran and the covered veteran’s referring clinician agree that furnishing care and services through a non-Department entity or provider would be in the best medical interest of the covered veteran.”

so some of his work to create the new vet community care program that is taking over from the vet choice program is his administrations work. you probably knew that but wanted to make like he did nothing except extend a obama mcain half measure.

The crucial words in all of that. He’s lying to your face, you know he’s lying, yet you defend him anyway. You do so with today’s stupid obvious lie and you will do it with tomorrow’s stupid, obvious lie and all of next week’s stupid obvious lies. He could take a dump in your mouth and you’d post here that sure, it doesn’t taste 100% like chocolate like he claims but it has a high nutritional value and a delicious flavour all it’s own.

In a way, the willingness of people who know he’s not telling the truth to excuse him over and over is sadder than the straight up suckers actually believing him. The outright rubes are just wrong. People like you debase yourselves.
strange I went back and read the thread back when obama was president and I don't notice any posts where you point out where he was lying when clearly he did on more than one subject.
as you say obama took a dump in your mouth and you never posted here that sure he was lying about the flavor.

the use of certain words in your posts does resemble something though.
