The Colombian team with Bernal and 2 other pros is a bit over the top, but Australia is also crazy strong, the US squad and the Italians with Fabbro, Conci and Carboni are also pretty strong, only Covili is missing.
Riabushenko is riding, that's always great news and it will be interesting to see if Sivakov will be able to work with the rest of his team, after all he's pretty much a western rider who was born in Italy and raised in France, but Vlasov is also riding on an Italian team and with the Russians riding in Italy all the time it shouldn't be a problem.
Of course I only mentioned a few of the strong teams and riders.

I'm curious to see how Strakhov compares to the other U23s. He's had some good results in proper pro races this year.

I notice there's no Slovenian or Kazakh team. Both those nations have some very promising first year U23s who could be prominent next year, when the likes of Sivakov and Lambrecht step up.

I'm not a fan of the inclusion of Pro Conti guys who have ridden the Giro, like Schlegel. He could be a new Soler.

My understanding is that Hamilton has offers on the table and will join the WT in 2018 - Have no idea which team - I believe Orica has signed one of the Aussie team who is riding L'Avenir.

Couldn't find any reference to him, so I'd just thought I'd note that the second coming of Thomas the Tank Engine, i.e. Benjamin Thomas, has signed for FDJ.

I'd be surprised if this guy doesn't wind up on the Axeon roster given they have already recruited two other 18 year olds for 2018. Just depends if they would let him race CX or not I suppose.

I would hope he'll go to a better team than that. Axeon is a good option for US prospects but Pidcock is a level above that team and needs to go somewhere he can learn from top level mentors and teammates.

Like Samamba already said he will race for Telenet Fidea. I could be remembering wrong but I think he said he wants to try and become CX u23 champion in 2019 and pro CX champion in 2020, and after wards focus more on the road.

You’ve signed a two-year contract with Telenet-Fidea Lions, have you set yourself any goals with the team?
The World Championships will be the big one. I want to become under-23 world champion and elite world champion in the second year, but obviously that’s only been done once by Mathieu van der Poel so it’s ambitious, but that’s the aim.

If you were to look ahead to five years time, where do you see yourself?
It’s hard to say at the moment because there’s a lot of different paths I could take. I could still be in ‘cross or I could be WorldTour [on the road], or I could be doing both still.

Well, Savini is riding in the U23 ranks (for the second year) and Innocenti is in his last junior year, so they're not really comparable. Savini also won the Giro Lunigiana in his last year as a junior. I did however expect Savini to be stronger in the U23 ranks than what he's shown.

Because year in, year out we see all these laughable Danish and Norwegian riders destroy everything everywhere and then proceed to do absolutely remotely nothing in the professional level. I thought we had hit rock bottom, but this Bjerg guy absolutely takes the cake.

Like in the Netherlands we had the same with guys like Barry Markus or in the very past Hans Dekkers. Sprinter types, won a lot, but absolutely sucked at Pro level

Yeah, they peak early, and normally don't get better, but riders like cort and kragh seem to have broken the trend.

From how I understand it DCU has been working hard with making sure the young guys become professional in a "smarter" way - for lack of better words - than what perhaps happened earlier.
Take an example like Lander; surprisingly won the NC, got a contract with BMC shortly after that, then... well...
Guldhammer is another example.
Otoh we have a guy like Cort, who was offered a contract after his first breakthrough at the Tour of Denmark, but chose to stay at home for a year more.

(BTW, assuming you're talking about Søren up there. Asbjørn hasn't really had much success...)
