Looks like @pastronef has finally got his wish; Giant, Giant Off Road have finally announced Hatherly on instagram; took them long enough.

I see it was reported on Pinkbike - and the majority of the comments were about the DH side. That's what has happened when the MTB media favour the gravity side.
Giant, at least in the USA is a shell of what it used to be. They haven't recovered from the pandemic supply issues I guess.

Finally confirmed, Jenny Rissveds to Canyon-CCLTV........

Bec Henderson racing in NZ, and still no official confirmation of her new team. Sammie Maxwell won the race on the 'old equipment' Rockrider, with Manitou forks/shocks.

Anton Cooper raced on what looked like a Lapierre........no idea what teams he is on though.

This type of thing rarely happens in the Road world.......

It reminds me of 2023 when Charlie Aldridge was seen riding with the Cannondale team in team kit, and nothing had been said.........MTB doesn't help itself at all.
Ultra secretive NDAs to keep the 20 social media followers that care about that guessing until they get tired and don't care about anymore until world cups resume.

"But look, we are just so cool that we only spill the beans after that fUnNy social media video with C-grade acting rolls out".

Based on the new rules to be introduced this year would anyone know what the timing is for UCI/Warner announcing the team rankings for the season.
I could not see anything specific in the updated rules and regulations on the UCI site, but it was heavy going and I may have missed it.

Orbea-Fox announced a team presentation for yesterday Jan 13th. and fccking didn't say any names. this sport should burn to hell :innocent:
Yeah, it constantly boggles the mind, waiting until the team presentation to unveil new riders.
Announce the riders before the team presentation - that's how the Road teams do it........

All this secrecy/ dropping hints in mystical social media posts isn't smart, or even clever........it's actually just poor PR.
I even saw a comment from Kate thanking a rider for not mentioning what she was riding - it's January.....it should have been announced.

Found my own answer, according to pinkbike, teams must be registered by tomorrow and rankings to be announced three weeks later.

Another team of bike industry sponsors.......

well if me and you that are checking for news EVERY DAY can not get info/pictures/inputs/views/words about a sport and its athletes, how can an external sponsor be even AWARE about the mtb teams and athletes and races even existing?
take the new couple Rissveds-Andreassen. they should be posting every day and get clicks and mentions. he should post a picture every day with his world champ jersey, on his Orbea, riding with her in Andorra, or viceversa, she should post pics every day of her new Canyon while riding around with his world champ boyfriends in snowy Andorra, even getting the tourist board to have them take a picture near every summit panel of all the climbs, and so on and on.
the brands know that the DH side of things get clicks, the VitalMTB forum is full of marketing news and oictures. get the XC athletes to ride with te DH/Enduro boys, get a team presentation of them all together, step up the game.
yet no
zero
