As the Lance Armstrong saga has unfolded and taken many former top riders with it, along with the sports credibility, it is not over by a long shot.
Corruption in nearly all cases starts at the top and until the house is swept clean at the UCI the sport will never have that credibility. McQuaid, Verbruggen and the whole lot of them need to be sanctioned, fired and new leadership is sorely needed.
Guys like Jim Ochowicz at BMC or Jonathon Vaughters would be far better suited at leading this sport forward and not further to the "Dark Ages" as the present leadership has.
Until the UCI broken bureaucracy is fixed then the sport will remain broken.
