Ullrich rides again

Good for him! It looks like he has recovered from the depression problems he suffered in recent months/years. Some of you may think I am crazy, but in all honesty, Ullrich could (with the right preparation + time) get himself in shape for competitive cycling and may be in the thick of things! The guy is super talented, and 37 may not sound as old as one would think in terms of competitive cycling. Even Juan Pelota acknowledged Ullrich as potentially the most talented rider in the peloton back in the day.

good luck to him...

It's nice to see that at least some pros don't (or didn't) ride purely for the money.

Homage to a great rider

One of my favourite riders! It was a superb figure on the bike! Quite impressive!!
If he was doped (and I don´t want to argue on that), even so he lost some Tours to one undoped rider... and I tell you that Ullrich was mighty strong!!!

Cycling can be quite unfair sometimes.

Anyway, I´m happy to understand he managed to cure is depression and that he´s back on the saddle!!

Sadly Pantani was not that strong.

During the early 2000's (when I didn't follow cadel), T_Mobile was my favourite team. I miss the days of Vino, Kloedi and Jan being at t-mobile even if they never really worked together well.

He has actually ridden in various charity races the last few years.

And even there the ÖR-hunters from ARD showed up in a disgusting manner to ask stupid questions, make a short report and not really caring about the charity-event itself, followed by some special friends from printmedia who put together another "masterpiece" to kick him again and pressure him into isolation. Still looking for the video. A must see and shows the whole ridiculous szenario. Hope I can still find it in the ARD-mediathek somewhere.
But great thing was, that they were told by the fans to shut up, they should just go to hell and leave him alone. :D

Anyway, now that der Jan is moving and again anounced to take part in something, you can again count down...3,2,1.....till the Wargriders are sent out.

Just look how they got off on that. Ah, it was a charity-event btw. lol
I really love Udo Ludwig. What a knobhead.

Der Sündenfall Uaaaaah

rofl, you think any pro rider put in all those hours because they saw dollar bills in the future? hating every minute of agonizing training, lol. unless you're a teenager that happens to jump on a bike for the first time and win every race you enter spontaneously...

I remember Vino attacking and then the rest of T Mobile reeling him back

Just for the record, it was Burn-Out Syndrome, and not Depression.

Always a good guy, Jan. This was one of Jan's more memorable years for me. If not for some slick roads in the final ITT that year, he might have dethroned LA. But it was a good fight nonetheless.
