Four men have had the privilege of being the victor three times in their career.

And of course a Flanders preview would not be complete without this kid.

Pick any one in that photo! I especially like the three-time winners post. That's the essence of a classic. Supremely difficult every single year.

Great thread... Can I subscribe to your newsletter?

Family affair too! The gray-haired guy to the left of the fan bordered by the yellow box looks like his dad.

I don't think Sly Stone's ever heard of the Tour of Flanders :p

That kid is famous for always being at the same spot on the Paterberg (or is it the Bosberg or Muur?). Looking at pics each year of the race he is always there, though a different colored jacket some years. I swear some publication interviewed him once, but I can't come across it, or an interview never occurred.

It has been the Muur. Wonder what he'll do this year...

Definitely not Rai 2, but Raisport2, which should show the race from 12:20 till the end at around 17.00.

There might be a parallel broadcast of the decisive moments on Rai 3 too, somewhat after 15.

This year will be a completely different race. I wonder who'll come out on top

Part of me still hopes Gilbert is pulling the ultimate April fool, but I think in reality he will keep the tv moto at the back occupied.

Funny thing is, that's exactly what the E3 organiser thinks Gilbert is doing after seeing him ride at both Milan-San Remo and E3 Harelbeke. Don't believe it though.
