So I think they are doing 4 long laps and then 3 laps of the finishing circuit.
I'd love to see Ben King win. He's a fellow Virginian. :)

He's already on the move. Small gap there.

Ya...I saw that...that makes me wonder if they're protecting someone else...maybe Howes.
Edit: There are two Cannondale riders in the front group. Haven't figured out who the other is yet.

Maybe they're all for themselves. Ben will give it another try sooner or later, remember 2010 he won with a long effort.

Howes was intended to lead Cannondale team for USA National Road Championship months ago. He proved in the USA Pro Cycling Challenge 2014 he can be very good from reduced group sprint. I remember a video on youtube with him and Ben King and Ben said one of his 2015 season goals would be to help Alex in this race.

Howes doesn't seem to be at his best form recently, though, so I'm not sure if they'll stick to that plan.

Thanks for the info...wasn't aware.

Astellas Cycling Team is one team who didn't make it into the breakaway...they're trying to bring it back. The break already has over a minute.

Yeah, and they only have two left.

Is Talansky fully recovered from his illness in California?

I haven't heard anything specifically. I do know he just won the US National TT. I guess he's feeling at least a little better.
lol, forgot all about the TT, thanks :D
