I think Quintana could have an edge over Froome and AC right now because he has already done some racing.

Froome always tends to prove a point in his early season races. Quintana has built up some decent shape coming out of San Luis. I don't think Contador wants to let his main contrahents walk away on their very first meeting already.
There's good hope for a decent little showdown on Alto de Hazallanas if you ask me.

How about Navarro? Don't know what to think about Rolland, Bardet, Peraud, Mollema, Vandenbroeck etc.? Who of them normally arrives with a decent early-season peak? Peraud doesn't he?

Contador will be in similar shape as Algarve last year. Will race ftw in Tirreno and Catalunya. Remember that it's only those three races that he'll do before the Giro, so he can afford to be at a good level.

You need to do some cycling research. Contador has always been really good early in the season. Even in his terrible season of 2013, his start was pretty decent.

Really interesting between Quintana, Froome and Contador. Quintana has raced already, Contador seems to have had a great winter, Froome was overweight during the winter, so i'm not sure if he's his normal anorexic, extraterrestial self. Normally this is the situation where Froome will already try really hard to go full ***.

I expect Quintana to take it, unless Froome decides to go full ***. Contador will be ok, might get dropped by a bit but not by much.

Also, Hazallanas is really a sick climb for the time of the year
