on the rest day, Drucker said that they would try to keep it together for Bennett on this stage.

Meanwhile they may have had another look at the profile though, I guess ;)

I expect the break to win this again, but I also expect some GC action on the final climb.

This an interesting stage - An in-form Bennett and Mezgec can get over the final two cimbs so do MS and Bora ride to bring back the break or even try to get both riders in the break - You ride to bring back the break and you could be ambushed by a Gilbert or Stybar type.

yeah, there is zero chance for Sam Bennett. I doubt more than 10 guys will come in together, if at all.

And Pello Bilbao said, if a good descender gets a 5s gap over the climb, there's no way to bring him back

I hope you mean George Bennett, because Sam has no chance on that climb.
Neither can Mezgec. Don't really know what Yaco is talking about.

It's two super steep muritos + longer, steady 7-8% climb we are talking about. This is a GC stage.

Nice last 40-50km. Probably 2 races again, I don't think Movistar are going to work for the stage win as they have bigger fish to fry. Geoghegan Hart ftw.

The first 130kms look like a snooze fest but the last 40 kms could do a lot of damage if there is a team willing to take the race on aggressively.

López has often struggled on the short steep Muritos and descent to the line won’t be a help.

I'm just hoping that valverde will race to distance his rivals and not to win in a sprint... Valverde can gain time 15/20 seconds to lopez tomorrow, roglic the same.

With Los Machucos the day after this rather goes for the break.
Brambilla or King

It would be a shame for the GC guys to waste Arraiz climb but I am not optimistic

Ehm, they stand absolutely no chance what so ever. Have you even bothered to look at the climbs?!
