Vuelta a España Vuelta a España 2020: Stage 15 (Mos - Puebla de Sanabria, 230km)

If it's cold and windy I'm sure this will be a day for the break and GC men will just sit on. Although it could mean that Roglic has to -- the horror! -- put on a rain jacket while riding, so we could see a shakeup...

It's a shame they put the hardest stage in the third week last. If we had La Covatilla on stage 14 then for sure we would see attacks on stages 15 and 16, from the riders that know they have no other choice. As it is, Carapaz, Carthy, Martin and Movistar most likely have their eyes fixed firmly on stage 17. Carrying the faint possibility of winning it on La Covatilla means that they are not desperate enough to try anything before then - something they may regret come Madrid.

Movistar may try something but most likely with designs on the stage rather than overall victory.

Today, Soler probably attacks.

They did the last 120 km of this stage in 2016 (stage 7) and it finished in a half bunch sprint with Van Genechten beating Bennati, Valverde and Gilbert after the last of the break (Clarke and LL Sanchez) were caught on the drag finish. There was also a bit of a pileup on the final bridge so a wet finish could be a bit dicey

Pretty sure Contador crashed pretty heavily that stage? He rode around like a mummy the stages after that
