Superidiot of the Vuelta:
Too much diaper changing and still trying to fit the little one on a bike?! (Or, maybe the little one will want to do some ski jumping instead?) The older one looks a bit bored with all this.
Doesn't look as happy as in the past!
he's so wild I like him. he put on a show many times and got his reward
Yeah I meant the older. The younger never won the vuelta, but the older used to LOVE winning and being on the podium.Too much diaper changing and still trying to fit the little one on a bike?! this aged well. blind chicken and the cornThe negative profile should benefit a heavy rider like King Küng.
Nailed itAnyway, it's time to talk about the race. I think Kung will win this, perfect time trial for him.
I take it you didn't watch last year. It's beautiful to see an ITT in Madrid and also a much better finish than the traditional snoozefest parade.
What? He was clearly the number one favourite and it isn't just my opinion, bookies also had him as clearly the favourite to win.Big congrats to Rogla for winning his 4th Vuelta, against the odds and with a new team. He still got it.
And O'Connor for good tactics and making the race interesting for a long while. And Mas with another strong podium performance.

And it was really entertainingSoler doing Soler things. Roglic stomping. BOC going out too hard. Mas refusing to attack. Carapaz going on a long ranger. Landa pooping the bed. Jay Vine winning KOM jersey wrapped in more bandages than a mummy. Wout putting on an exhibition AND Wout leaving the race in tears.
This really was a race of confirming what we already knew.
Only something like 240 rest days till the Giro!Instead of the Veulta going to 2 weeks I want it to go to 4. I’m not ready for Grand Tours to be over
J/k, we still have the Worlds and some autumn races coming up, so there's still some cycling to look forward to.
And then we'll have CX/track to keep us (relatively) sane during the winter.
And then the road season will - slowly - start up again.
And then.... EVERYONE'S IN BELGIUM!
I feel that even more acutely after the Vuelta than the other GTs because we know there is only a month of races left in the season. Fortunately there are some good races to look forward to with the classics riders returning to action.Instead of the Veulta going to 2 weeks I want it to go to 4.
