Well.

It is obvious the Radio Shack and Lance don't have all the cards, best team, strongest riders, ect.

I wonder if he will stay in the race. Not that I am reading anything in the statements after Stage 3 but he is full of excuses.

I think that RS is trying to bluff their way through this TdF. Always talking tuff but have and story if it doesn't go their way.

Didn't you hear? It's a saddle sore this time! ;)

Levi suffers from the heat (http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/leipheimer-keeps-an-eye-on-vinokourov) and Klöden didn't eat/drink enough and had a bad bed (http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/armstrong-keeps-his-cool-despite-heat-saddle-sore)

Rest day in 2 days time. Lance will be able to adjust his saddle like last year, eliminating the saddle sore issue and ramping his power up measurably.

Not sure?

These guys are either doing the best sandbagging job ever, or should be riding their huffys down Santa Monica boulevard. (Sorry, couldn't help the Sheryl Crow-ish paraphrase!)

This last one was really funny as Dirk De Mol said something different right after the stage, namely that Klöden was having stomach troubles the entire day

Yeah I noticed that too.

I know that eating too fast can cause stomach problems... not sure if that's also true for eating too little.

But than still he would not have complained since the start

Haven't seen many excuses from Armstrong to be honest. He could have made a big deal of that puncture on the cobbles and complained that no one waited for him. He could have said that nobody waited for him today either.

Just a minor setback for my Lord Armstrong. Some days are like today but tomarrow is another day. That is why this is called stage racing.

its funny how lance probably influenced most of the people here to get into cycling and grew the sport and now we all tear him down.

I doubt that that is the case. Not for me and I bet not for all the people that are not Americans. Lots of non-americans "here".

Well, what a day.

I didn't put "I Crashed" on the list.

He did say he was going to stay and RS can go to their second hand man, Levi.

Notice though, that the first thing he said he would do is go for a stage win, not support Levi. That came second. Freudian slip maybe? He has his priorities in order far as I can tell. Or maybe being a realist (suddenly after getting smacked with the humility stick) he knows that Leipheimer chances of actually winning the Tour are pretty slim.

It's the favourite sport for most on here, not cycling.

I thought LA was pretty candid today. Like he said: he crashed, he chased and he blew.

It had little to do with age or any of the crap that some will go on about on here. Reality was the crash happened at a bad time in the race but as he said it was him who caused it by clipping a pedal. Good work by the team pulling back almost a minute to get back on but it came at a time when sky turned up the screw and like he said he was 'pegged'. Thats racing.

Great ride by Andy today who really put the hurt on and would have gained a lot of confidence from riding away from Contador who clearly had nothing to respond despite trying his best to get onto the wheel of Sanchez. Cadel looked to be in the box a bit also. Good ride by Levi and Geisink.

Basso is still the dark horse for me though he also looked to be suffering a bit.

Tomorrow is a rest day.

Exactly! He could really excel!

According to Matti Breschel, when he apologised after they crashed Armstrong told him

It's OK. I'm to old for this. I just wanna go home and have a pizza and a beer.

:)

So, the winner is option 9? Great, that's what I picked.

Do you have some facts to support this assumption? I for one would not fall into this category.
Facts? Since when have any posts re. LA had anything to do with fact?:p
Here's a fact, it would have been a far less exciting past decade in cycling without ol Tex.
Man, I REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY wish posters would get over the whole LA thing and get on with it.
Go Schleck(let)!!!
