Wheel Options For Old 9 Speed

I have a 20 ish year old aluminum bike that I am looking for cheap, but quality wheels for. The bike has Shimano Aluminum Rim Brake wheels. It is a 9 speed. I recently upgraded the Cassette to a 11-28 Cassette and a 50/34 Chain Ring. The Group set was a Shimano Ultegra R6500 Group Set before changing out the Chain Rings and Cassette. I am looking to upgrade the wheels to something that would be high quality Wheels for this rim brake set up. I would love your suggestions of what could work. I am newer to cycling, and my knowledge of the possibilities is limited. Thank you!
