So when you feel the need to buy an Fat bike? Besides the price, what else should we weigh in?

Will you consider buying one from online bike store? Nowadays, manufacturers also want to sell their products directly to the consumer. The manufacturer can be the manufacturing base for some big brands. So with the same production, Quality Controlling and the testing system, will you consider that?

Just say no! :D I wouldn't buy one unless I lived in a snowy region, or near a sand dune. With that being said, what should weigh in is the weight. What about a "Plus" bike? A little bigger tire without making it a different beast. I only buy from my LBS, but I have a great, long-term relationship with them. If that relationship didn't exist, I'm still not sure if I would risk buying from an estore (for a full bike). Even if they stand behind issues, you still have to deal with shipping each way.

agree^^

unless you've test ridden the exact same bike to the one you're considering buying online and you're completely 100% happy with the fit and specs

i would avoid buying a complete bike online

many people successfully do though

this is just my very humble opinion ofc
