Andy is not overrated. Overrated is when we hype up people who have no shot of doing squat. Andy is uber-talented.

He CAN win the Tour, not saying he will this year.
He WON LBL, 3rd this year.
He finished 2ND in the 07 Giro.

He's not overrated, he just doesn't use his talents well enough for the people on this forum.

yeah i think he is overrated, i think people are expecting too much from him.
Honestly i think i think he is a good rider but compared to contador or gilbert for example i don't think he can stay in the same level!

Aug uve mis-read what I mean. I rate Andy and think he's the 2nd best GT rider a level above everyone but Contador. I was more pertaining to the fact that every thread at the moment seems to change into the same anti-Schleck stuff.

If they do, then yes, that would be overrating him.

In my opinion he won the gold medal by luck because bettini and valverde were looking to each other! than after he won that medal it seemed to everybody that he was going to win and win that's why i said that people are expecting from him some results that he can't archieve because he is a good rider but not a "champion" that's it

Looking at the top 100 on CQ the closest to being overrated would have to be Greipel as he is a slightly worse sprinter than I* expected him to be.

I have to admit to not really following opinions in the media and it's a bit hard to judge what the consensus of this board is for every rider so I am going with my own 1-person jury ratings

In comparsion to some of the stuff thats said on here yeah. That's no denying he's a great rider but he would need to be the cannibal 2.0 to keep with the stuff on here

Fränk Schleck. Nothing like the rider his brother is, though he does race more events seriously and looks to work harder (no stories of him being sent home for drinking!) - just like Asier Olaizola and Simon Fourcade, sadly.

José Rujano. No amount of pointing to what he can do if he puts his mind to it can disguise the fact that his mind is seldom put to it.

Michael Rasmussen. No matter how much people may want it, the 2007 Rasmussen is not coming back, for obvious reasons.

Even though there is much attention for Gesink from the Dutch posters, nobody is unrealistic in their expectations about him.

I'm not going to pretend I'm going to find posts to back up what I'm saying. This is my opinion. I will admit I have exgarated and , which I do have a tendency to do and apologise if this has offended or perturbed u. I was only stating my opinion which i still believe.
