Who for the future, DOM, Super DOM or leader?

I thought I would start my first thread, so I hope that the subject will be of interest.

I know we've had some threads dealing with roughly the same topic, but bear with me.

Who is currently running as lieutenants but have the potential to run as captains, and what they should do in their present situation, a good example would be a rider like QUINTANA, how long will he stay with moviestar, should he just stay and wait for Valverde till he stops his career, or should he find a new team as soon as possible?
And the same goes for so many others.

Examples of riders who may have the potential and ability to run as captain of a team, yet choose to run as super domistique because they maybe lack ambition and am fine with having to ride without the pressure of producing results, and in this category I would include a rider like Kiryienka as an example.

Here some examples of who could go under the above categories:

EBH (more or less rides as a dom, but when he rides as leader, hes most of a disappointment)

QUINTANA (Valverdes new Rodriques, IMO he should move on asap)

Ulissi (Amazing talent, I see him as a future GC contender, but think he should stay where he is for now)

ROLLAND (Haven´t heard much of him for some time, but maybe was time for him to move on to the next level, or did he already reach it?)

SLAGTER (In doubt, can he develop further, and how much, I don´t see him as a GC contender in the future either, but for 1 week stage races he could do well)

TVG (Just stay and take over from Cadel, certainly a GC contender)

KWIATKOWSKI (For me one of the biggest surprises, though he did shown his talent momentarily, but one of the guys who really moved up a notch the last 2 years but what is his potential, super dom or leader in the future, and where is his limits?)

Moreno MOSER (No introduction necessary, I think hes potential at the moment is endless)

this was just to name a few ...

IMO should a rider like EBH see to get away from SKY before it is too late, he has more potential than he have shown so far, and his development is currently at a hold. Its waste of talent. Hes not a cobble rider as I see him, but question is, what is his domain, classic rider, punchteur, or stage race rider?

QUINTANA is ready to move on, and deserves a team of his own, question is what is best for him in his present situation.

What are your thoughts, any contribution is welcome, and the riders mentioned is just examples, there's plenty to pick from.

I agree that Quintana is in a nice situation and should stay put, same with TVG. Kwiatkowski looks legit to me, potential is huge IMO.

I like the Kiryienka pick, dude is a beast. If he has the desire then all he needs is an opportunity. Might as well throw Henao and Porte in there too?

Vino attacks everyone said:
Valverde is now what 33?
Quintana should stay and inherit one of the best climbing teams in the world

In theory he could keep on for another 3 - 4 years, but I guess the team could still find place for him as Co leader, but as long they ride the same races he will still be dom for Valverde, but again, its a learning process and he still have a lot to learn, staying is perhaps a good option after all.

My hope is that Nairo stays put and Movi gives him a shot as sole leader in a GT next year. Nothing wrong with a team of that caliber having two GT leaders, especially if they focus on different races. Besides, it's a strong team with good doms and is likely to stay that way. I wouldn't leave if I were him.

Sky, on the other hand, has too many GC guys for GTs and other stage races. Of the 5 - Porte, Uran, Wiggins, Froome, and Henao, 3 should leave. Obviously Wigs isn't going anywhere. Best scenario to me would be that Henao, Uran, and Froome go as Wiggins and Froome or more likely to want to aim for the same race.

Too early to say now but if Stybar continues to progress I'd like to see him elsewhere after another year of seasoning as there are a bunch of cooks in the OPQS kitchen.

TJVG should definitely stay as Evans is in the twilight.

They seem to coexist ok for now but if Moser continues to improve I don't see him wishing to remain in Sagans shadow forever.

Talansky has been gradually moving into a team leader role, which is something he definitely wants. Doesn't appear to be too much conflict with Ryder for now as they have targeted different races.

Quintana has already had a lot of success at Movistar, and the team will be able to support him very well in the future the more he gets out of Valverde's shadow. so staying there would probably be the best decision for him. Next year I don't expect him to have to play domestique to Valverde in the GT's though, if Movistar makes him ride domestique in next years GT's yet again though, then it may be time to think about leaving.

I would say there are more than a few guys who could lead on Sky who should leave. EBH being one, leaving would probably be a smart decision for him (but he also needs to change which races he focuses on). Also Uran and Henao, they deserve to be aloud to pick which GT they want to target and be given full leadership in it. I'd also like, once he progresses a little more, to see Dombrowski leave Sky.

Tejay and Taylor should stay where there at, especially with Evans and Hushovd continuing to show they are losing it.
Also, Jungels should go wherever Cance goes and learn from him. He'll surly be a leader in the future. At the moment, best to play the domestique role and learn right now.
