Good morning.
I'd like to ask you what do you think about Pogacar and Vingegaard. Who do you think is the better cyclist?
Pogacar is for sure more versatile, but is he also a better cyclist? Or Vingegaard is better, and Pogacar is only more versatile?

I started this thread because in an other forum a user has written: "Pogacar is more versatile, but Vingegaard is better because he has beaten him twice at TDF, and considering that TDF is the most important race;". So he stated that the top/best GC rider should be also considered the best cyclist in the world, although he doesn't win Classics, do you agree with that statement? He said that the fact that Pogacar wins monuments is insignificant in comparison to win GC, and in particular TDF, so he is not as good as Vingegaard.

Thank you very much

Cycling is so much more than the Tour.

Pogacar have won the same (or equal races) as Vingegaard. Vingegaard cannot win the same races as Pogacar.

Therefore the obvious answer is Pogacar.
This I think is really the most important aspect of it. One can easily imagine Pog beating (which he has already) or at least giving Vingegaard a run for his money on his home turf. You can never imagine Vingegaard posing any real threat on Pog’s territory - you know, the one he shares with MvdP…

The other argument is - how far back would Vinge have to go to meet the guy who can do the things he does? Maybe Froome already, but definitely Lance. And then Indurain.. For Pog, it’s Hainault and Mercx and that‘s it, pretty much…
