(This is about who is the best in a bunch sprint, with equivalent team mates. Not who can get over the mountains best or go well on the cobbles).

After that Greipel in 3rd

edit: severe lack of Freire.
Oh, absolutely. I wouldn't vote for him, but I'd say he deserves a spot in the poll.Jamsque said:Freire is a great sprinter, and one of the most tactically astute in the peloton, but he's lost some of his raw speed and the ability to dominate a race that guys like Farrar and Greipel display nowadays. He's absolutely one of the top sprinters of the past decade, though.
I think Farrar is the best of the rest, he's fast and he's consistent. Greipel is a very close third.

No but seriously....I can't say whether Cav is better than Greipel or not until they clash. Greipel usually wins in weaker competition but he absolutely toyed with everyone at the Vuelta last year against a field similar to what Cav is facing right now.
It's like if Federer never played against Nadal...how can we for sure know who's the best if they never meet each other? Or two dominant boxers or something like that...
I feel Greipel is a bit underrated just because he hasn't been a part of the TDF-mania. He also tends to choke quite bit sometimes but when he's on he's on.
Looking forward to next year.

Cobblestoned said:But for now. Hmmmh. Hard to handle this Cav-Greipel comparing.
I just leave Greipel out for now because there is no real competion between them.
The Hitch said:I think he could. Next year in the sprints at tdf we will see. I think cav will take most but Greipel will take 1 or 2. I hope Greipel gets a good leadout.
