I think weve run out of all the Tour ideas 6 days after the end of the Giro. What we going to talk about in the entire month left till the Tour. I thought this would have been a thread best left to a week before the Tour. Allegiances can be made during the Dauphine and TDS, and favourites can fall.

Forgive my *****yness, but that can kind of be explained when one sees who lies underneath Gesink:cool: VDB:confused: and even Wiggins:rolleyes:

Edit: lol, 9 votes cast and none yet for Gesink. Is there an internet blackout in dutchland or something?

It's warm here, people are outside.
Too warm for me as a Vino-fan though :p

Just thought of it a little while a go so made the thread.

The Dutchies votes will be flooding in for Gesink as the blue and orange ferrels will soon enough arrive at their computers !:D

I think it's likely you will lose your Dutch mafia membership after not voting for Gesink...

You must have missed this if you think there is nothing to discuss:

Contador. It will be very interesting to check what TAS will do afterwards :)

Interesting as in potentially having the noble sport f*ckeded up the sh*tter once again?

Even more than usual, I really hope Contador loses this so there won't be any discussion about who is the real winner of the Tour 2011.

I don't know if I have a real big favorite for the Tour. I'll probably end up cheering for Andy I guess, but the man love just isn't there this year. Besides, I'm 100% sure that Contador is going to win, so maybe I'll cheer for whoever is closest to him.

That's great. So you mustn't fear gambling some money on it.
I'll give you 10 euro if he wins the TdF 2011, you give me 25000 euro if he doesn't win it. The odds sure are against me.
Deal?

Either Contador, or a surprise winner. Horner maybe. LOL. Vino would be great, too, although highly unlikely, of course.

I'm cool with an Andy Schleck win if he puts on a good show, but I'm not a fan.

Well, I guess Vino can be counted as a shadow favorite or something, so if you want him to win just pick him :p

Anyone but Leipheimer will do for me anyway :p Not that he can be considered a favorite. And I don't want Wiggins either. Doesn't take cycling serious.

I voted for Basso in the poll, I know I should not like him but I can't help it. I also know that he won't win, let's face it since he got caught he's not the same.
If Evans wins I will be happy because I think he deserves it.
Andy Shleck is too nice and I'm not able to like him.
If Contador takes part I'm afraid is game over for everyone, doping or not he's the best.

Sanchez or Basso for me. Voted for Basso here as I'd like him to take one TdF before he retires.

Wouldn't really mind any of the people listed here though. Not really any of the favourites I really dislike, would be happy for all of them if they put up a good show on the road.

I want Contador to win, but he may not race.

As much as I want him to win, though, I almost hope he doesn't start and wins the Vuelta instead. I fear for his safety in France. Those 4 MTFs are sure to attract a whole lot of drunk Contador haters. Er... I mean, "fans."

+1

I don't generally hope a rider fails, but I will hope he fails at the tour.
