It's the only interesting thing left in this giro and it's an awesome battle.

-Betancur

He has the better sprint uphill and untill now he has proven to climb just a bit better than Majka. So i think he's the favorite, especially with the boni sec he can earn

-Rafał Majka

He needs to anticipate and go a bit earlier otherwise he'll always lose the sprint for boni sec. But his amazing MTT is hopeful. I've also the feeling that he might have saved something for the last week. Also keep in mind that Betancur was already REALLY good in april. Will he able to keep it going in the next 2 days?

I hope it will be Majka. If he wants more (and I'm sure he wants), then he will attack, and I'm not sure that at the end of the 3rd week Betancur can keep his form.

No he is not.

Yes he is.

With old Cadel giving signs of weekness he is a podium contender. This is the third week with two high mountain stages in extreme cold. If somebody cracks two-three minutes is close to nothing. So yes Majka is a podium contender, he was better in the mountains than the Lampre duo, and Evans form is suspicious

What a battle for the White jersey, it looks like they are equal strong and the battle is not just for the White but also for the overall standing it shall be very interesseting to follow this battle the next stages.

I Think Betancur will win in the end because of the time bonus but majka will try from the distance to surprice betancur but will not succeed.

betancur Will end winning one of the stages and finish 3 at the second one, he looks very very strong and especially on the line. Lets have some good cycling the next days:)

I just hope that Majka realizes that he'll never be a podium contender, and goes back to be super-dom a la Szmyd.

What the heck?! The kid is 23 and he is 6th in a GT. When he gets older he could win some smaller one week stage races and maybe even more prestigious races. Him becoming super dom would be an extreme farce and a huge waste of talent. Jesus. I can't even understand why you're saying this when he's going well and we have no idea of his limit yet. Jesus. Give him a chance, ffs.

Like many of you i think this is the most entertaining GC fight of this Giro. As i like both of them i'm very curious how they will perform.
Betancur should have the edge coz of his mountain sprint, as everybody knows that i hope majka will attack not just in the last k or two :)

He's freaking 23. 23! and his first big race as a leader. And already fighting with best for Top 5...

Not sure why I am even bothering replying to obvious troll...

So? He is still young and can improve. How you can judge him this early in his career is beyond me.

He is already a really good climber and can only get better. He might become a complete climbing beast and you want him to slave for.... who, exactly?
