Who Writes the News?

I have wondered for some time why the "news" articles in Cyclingnews have no author attributed to them. The by-line always seems to be "By Cycling News". This is puzzling since many articles are more like editorials containing opinion and speculation. It is obvious that the authors of many are not native English speakers, but so what?

I think it is important to know WHERE the news is coning from and WHO is telling it.

Those are the stories they copy from other sites, no one wants credit for those.

Looks like nobody really cares where the content comes from.

I have noticed that as the Tour ends there are more "articles" attributed to authors. In particular the gushy paeans to "The Manx Missile" and All Things Sky have author names.
