I'm not sure I'll be able to watch much or any of the race, since I will be acting like a clown at a kid's birthday party tomorrow, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't have a thread of its own.

The women's race has a length of 154 km, which include 5 laps on the circuit we've come to known over the past few days.
There will be rain on the menu.

Will Demi Vollering will be able to get rid of Lotte Kopecky here, or will they once again have to duke it out in an unfriendly sprint? Or will Faulkner kick their asses once again? Can Vos win her fourth title? Has Blanka Vas the luck and legs to get another great Hungarian result? How strong is Ferrand-Prévot actually these days? How many times will Elise Chabbey attack? These are just some of the questions we've get answers to during the race.

One of the other questions this week, has been whether or not Yanina Kuskova would be able to start the race after women's cycling has been killed off again in Uzbekistan, but she will be lining up tomorrow.

Some favourites/outsiders/dark horses

I think this is one for Vollering, she actually needs a win here to save her season as it's been poor by her standards. But there is enough climbing for her to be favourite

I will also miss the race due to outside commitments, which is a travesty, but on the plus side this means you will be spared my tomfoolery in the race thread at the time.

Looks a suitable course for Vollering. In what world,, has Vollering's season been disappointing?

It's a weird situation that this race counts for the U23 as well. Someone like Puck Pieterse will have to work, but at the same time think of her own chances. What happens if a young rider crosses the line first? Would she get both world titles?

Really looking forward to this, I think it could be a cracking race.
Would like Puck or Kasia to win.
But then again Demi seems a nice person, Brown and Faulkner would big stories, Lotte winning two in a row, PFP again after 10 years, one last hurrah for Vos.
As a patriotic Brit I would love a home win.
Bur perhaps Ruegg for Switzerland would be the appropriate option after yesterday.

Puck for the win. She’s gonna be there with Demi and Lotte in the final and benefit from the 2 vs 1.

Curious about PFP.

One of the Swiss riders apparently particularly close to/affected by yesterday's news.

Very poor taste of the TV director to zoom in on her though.
Couldn't believe the interview they did, fine ask like 1 question but to keep going back to it. Just seemed unnecessary

Rukundo used to be a wrestler two years ago & now they're getting dropped at the worlds.
