Amongst all the brouhaha about BoB, somebody posted a pic that made me think of a part of cycling I find interesting - real-life bicycles in use around the world. I remember a newspaper photo of an Asian lady riding a bike - as a water seller. She had these HUGE pottery barrels mounted on the back of the bike. They had to exceed 55 gallons. I couldn't see how the bike could carry them empty, much less with any water on them! This was before photoshop, and the newspaper wasn't the Enquirer, so it wasn't a scam. I think I scanned that photo in, but I can't find it - maybe on an old CD somewhere in my files. If I ever find it, I'll post it. Meanwhile - here are some examples to get things started. I'm sure we won't get the readership of BoB, but who knows, maybe we can get some regular new updates to surprise, amaze, and enlighten us!
The shot that started it:
Never ceases to amaze me what people will tote on a bicycle.
And one just to show a fine photo - the bike is incidental but a great counterpoint to the excellent graffiti.
