World Championships - TV/Internet coverage?

Does anyone know if there will be any tv or internet coverage in Canada of the worlds?

The UCI site doesn't list any Canadian broadcasters. I was actually considering forking out $9.99 (what a rip-off) for universal sports online coverage, but then I was told that it's only for the US and its territories.

So, am I out of luck? Other internet coverage all seems to be geo-restricted as well - I would love to be able to buy the eurosport online player.

I didn't put Canada in the thread title - I figure there must be people in other countries who want info on how to watch too...

Thanks in advance!

thx

Thanks for the responses!

I haven't had much luck with steephill or cyclingfans since most of the official feeds are geo restricted, but I will definitely try the others suggested. thx again.

I've found that some browsers work better than others for streaming video from cyclingfans. During the TDF I updated my firefox and it quite working so I switched to Opera and it worked fine for the rest of the tour and for the Vuelta. Haven't tried Chrome or IE.

Surely there will be plenty of live internet feeds? Just some advice for you euros and americans, drink plenty of coffee so you stay awake and double check your alarm clock so you get up at the right time to watch the event.:D

Good to know that sporza is showing everything, although I find (from steephill and cyclingfans at least) that they usually have geo-restricted feeds...

gotta say, it'll be a novelty to get to watch a race that ends at 2am for me rather than getting up at 5am to start watching... much easier to stay up late than to get up early.

Chrome usually works fine for me - sometimes a feed drops out or stalls or has some lagging, but I Guess I'd expect that no matter the browser.

Are these the correct start and finish times for the races? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/cycling/6155366.stm

29 Sept - Women's time trial 0600-0750 BST, Red button/online

30 Sept - Men's time trial 0400-0835 BST, Red button/online

2 Oct - Women's road race 0400-0735 BST, Red button/online

2 Oct - Men's road race 2240-0610 BST, Red button/online

Men's RR is at a totally different time to the other races?

think you'll find that the Mens RR is not on the red button if you've only got freeview

I checked Fromsport.com about three hours before the U23 race was to begin, and they had a link that was supposed to cover the race. I fell asleep, so I don't know if they came through or not.

Eurosport UK is supposed to have it on delay, I believe starting fifteen minutes from now. I'm trying to find an online stream.

Here's the link I copied from last night. It might be worth checking for the Men's race later. Otherwise, the Fromsport main site would be worth checking.

Universal Sports is running it. I think you can pay $14.95 or so to watch it online on demand through them.

Are they showing it live as well?

Where can an American watch all 7 hours live?

I've got 6 Red Button channels on my Sat' dish. I've had the BBC coverage Live for TT events + repeated/looped for the rest of the day.

I too would like to know if those BBC timings are correct for Elite RR Sunday, it looks correct - 12 hours ahead ... so finish 06.30 GMT?

I'm fairly sure the time is right for the live coverage.

I guess there is limited bandwidth on freeview, hence they are showing moto gp instead. As you correctly point out though, the race is live on the red button via sky and freesat etc..also on bbc website I suppose....
