My uni is organising this: http://www.kent.ac.uk/wcss2014/ and a draft programme is here: http://www.kent.ac.uk/wcss2014/programme.html given some of the participants there might be stuff of interest to clinic dwellers.

I can't make it, but some of you who live in the Leeds area might like to go to a free session of the conference that's being held next Thursday, The Science Behind The Tour de France, see here for the details:

Very interesting. Will there be abstracts available online?

I've asked Louis Passfield the organiser.

I'm doing my normal thing of completely messing up my planning for the summer and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I should have tried to get to the conference given my uni is organising it. And I really must get my head together and try to see at least one stage while it's over here.

Cheers, I'm interested in what a couple of the speakers will probably be talking about.

Abstracts are being posted in the Science of Cycling next week, and they're planning to upload videos on to the departments Youtube channel shortly afterwards.

Awesome, thanks very much. Does that include the Thursday, The Science Behind The Tour de France, session?

I'm pretty sure they're trying to video the whole lot, but I'll ask Louis.
