Worst descender. Wiggins vs Schlecks

The Schlecks, because there are 2 of them.

If Sir Wiggins had a cycling twin, it would be a tough call though.

Ullrich was pretty bad too.

At least Wigans of Team Ground manages to climb the hills from which he fails to descend. The same cannot be said of Frandy of the Shreks.

Schlecks still for me. Have to see some more examples from wiggins to put him at the top.

Those sisters are really horrible, and whining *****es too. That increases their terribleness in descending.
As bad as their whining is, at least they showed up to talk to the press. Sir Bradley is a real fair-weather cyclist: it's smiles and ascots when things go well, it's a retreat to the bus and tweets from the missus when things go badly, and it's wunts and cankers all around when people question the myth.

Schlecks are still tops for me - very shaky descenders...something very fragile and vulnerable about them beyond what is right, which makes me scared for them.

As long as he's still on the bike, there will be but one Ivan Basso.
You never saw Zulle descend in the rain? That was comedy gold, almost every time.

Last time I saw someone riding like this was when Hoogerland went in the fence. He had a good reason back then, what is Brad's? Just chicken?

The three of them are on par for today.

To be fair, maybe he totally had a block, is possible. Then we should not be joking about it. But it was absolutely strange to see.

To be fair, being more timid and circumspect after a crash or being hurt isn't cowardice, it's common sense. Nibali is a fearless descender, and that works for him, but Wiggins isn't. That hardly makes him alone. Fränk Schleck was always a bad descender, but got worse after his swallowdive in the Tour de Suisse. Valverde is usually a very, very good descender, but returning from crashing out of the Tour in spectacular fashion, he promptly lost the Vuelta on a descent. Evans is a good descender, but David Arroyo made him look like an utter fool on his way down the Mortirolo in 2010.

Basso descended like post-crash Wiggins today - only Basso would descend like that in clear, dry conditions on non-technical descents.

It was painful to watch. Like The Chicken doing an ITT, or the Euskaltel boys doing a TTT, or any Spanish sprinter really. It felt as Tommy Voeckler looks like during most of Le Tour.
