Worst Team in the WT

Who do u guys reckon is the worst team in the WT?

Obviously there are very different budgets throughout the peleton, but i still think its worth opening this can of worms.

Cannondale is ahead of Lampre in CQ Team Ranking for 2016...

Can't see how you rate them below IAM.

Lots of teams worse than Cannondale.

WT team rankings mean nothing. I can't remember a single Canondale WT win all season. Lampre had an excellent Giro.

That's why Anderis mentioned CQ Rankings, not WT.

Cannondale didn't have bad Giro team-wise. There were moments when they were outnumbering Astana in mountains, let alone any other team.

Surely they are poor at winning recently but they are nowhere near the worst team in terms of depth.

Imo depth on a mountain stage in a Giro protecting a rider who finished just inside the top 10 isn't worth anywhere nears as much as a stage win. It depends what people class as success.

Lampre has an even smaller budget, only 7.5m, but you're right, it's not just about the money.
The Cannondale team was already pretty bad in 2014, they still had Sagan but other than that it was just a shadow of the mighty Liquigas squad.

Strong team doesn't always mean a successful team.

There's a lot of room for disagreement because it's hard to set clear criteria for finding the "worst" team. I disagree that Cannondale is the worst, because they're not the last in any measurable way (wins, CQ Team Ranking, WT Team Ranking) and sometimes they show depth that's much stronger than their recent top results would suggest.

WT rankings are a pretty bad indicator though. Unless, of course, winning the Tour Down Under and a top 5 finish on a stage is indeed more prestigious than winning Paris-Roubaix

UCI ranking is different compared to WT ranking.

Cannondale has only 5 wins and their biggest win is a stage on California which has a complete trash lineup. Their best result in this season is a 2nd placement on a stage in Giro.

Giant got decimated by the accident but they still managed to get 2 Giro victories, so they are better than Cannondale even without Degenkolb.

Lampre: 2 Giro stage + a Catalunya stage as WT victories.

IAM: Giro + Tour de Suisse stage victories

DDD: 4 WT victories

Cannondale is easily the worst team by a mile, its not even close
